“Baby, if you keep eating that batter, we won’t have any dessert for our guests,” I scold.

Xander frowns and pushes the batter bowl towards me. I place the batter into star containers and put them in the oven to bake. We were supposed to have ice cream, but we had it the other night, so we decided to make a chocolate cake with custard.

Xander and I go upstairs to shower and change into some fresh clothes. I pick out a pastel pink maxi dress and some earrings. My stomach was starting to show, I was in my second trimester, and I couldn’t wait to hold my baby. Our next appointment was the day before our traditional wedding, and I couldn’t wait to find out the gender of the baby.

Xander stands next to me and kisses my cheek.

“You look gorgeous baby,”

I blush, np matter how many times he said that
