CHAPTER SIX

Luca had sent her back to her room after their little tete a tete. Bianca was so annoyed at how she had screwed up royally.

Not only did she almost get killed, she got roped into a counter deal and a marriage, and she knew better than to try to run away. Luca seemed more dangerous than the man who had hired her, and from how quickly he found out who she was, he seemed to be quite resourceful, he would tear the whole earth to find she if she escaped without fulfilling my bargain of the deal. She might be an assassin but she knew which fights to pick and which fights to back down from, and Luca was a fight to back down from…at least for now.

**************************************

About an hour later, a soft knock is heard on the door.

“Room service”

A lady called out. She rosed and opened the door while a young lady wheeled in a cart with food and boxes into the room.

“I didn’t order for any of this”, She told the lady, annoyance lacing her voice.

“It’s courtesy of Mr. Luca. He says you’ve caught his eyes and he is smitten’, the lady said with a polite smile, but even she didn’t buy the nonsense talk.

“Leave!” Bianca seethed, reining in her anger as she walked towards the cart.

She had just picked up a card from the tray when the door shut softly behind her

“To my beloved wife, whose kisses bring me close to death”

She grunted as she folded the card into a ball and threw it away in frustration. She looked at the tray, fruits and desserts were displayed, and there were a few boxes. I opened the largest box and saw a beautiful satin gown. I lifted it from the box and its length fell to the floor. It was breathtaking, its deep red colour was very captivating, its shade like that of blood, and the bodice promised to be luxurious.

A note was laying in the box that read: “For the introduction tomorrow. I’m picking you up by 7pm, don’t be late”

She was so exhausted, this day did not go as she had planned and she hated when plans didn’t go according to plan. Not only did she fail to kill Luca but she would soon be making an enemy out of Romano Moretti, her dealer.

She pulled out her laptop from her backpack and sat on the bed, if she was going to fight Moretti, she need to do a very digging into his life. She wasn’t about to mess up a second time like she had done with Luca. She pulled out her phone from her pocket and made a call to her informant.

“I need a very deep search into Romano Moretti”

She waited for a while to listen to the rapid fire questions that the person on the other end was asking, but she kept quiet. She knew she couldn’t trust anybody, even her closest informant. Once tortured long enough, everyone spill for the sake of their lives, she couldn’t blame them but that didn’t mean she would ever trust people.

“Well, you and I know in this line of our business, information is very crucial for survival and if I want to survive, I need leverage. Send me something by tonight, ok?”

With that, she hung up and started doing her own digging into the Moretti Family, and unlike what Luca believes, she didn’t want to kill only Romano. Her beef with the Moretti family goes deeper and if Luca wants them dead, then she will use him as her shield while she deals them a heavy blow.

A smile crept onto her face, this deal was exactly what she looked forward to while accepting the deal. This had been her plan B all along but she had never thought she was lucky enough to get Luca to want to save her. Now, he didn’t only save her, but he would be a shield to protect her. She looked forward to being Mrs. Vincenzo.

She was still deep in planning and scheming when she dozed off.

A few hours later, someone was raping on her door and that jolted her from her restless sleep. Her hand instinctively went to her gun that she keeps under her pillow and she stood cautiously.

“Who is it?”

“Mr. Vincenzo sent me to remind you of your meeting, in case you had overslept. He insists you have enough time to prepare. He also sent a meal tray ma’am”, a soft feminine voice responded outside the door.

“Leave it there. I’ll get it myself. Tell him I’m up”, she responded and after a few minutes, she checked the peephole. Once she was certain no one was around, she opened the door and wheeled in the food tray.

Locking the door behind her before observing the food tray, she had to admit that at least Mr. Vincenzo knew how to take care of his woman. There were varieties of fruits, sweets, desserts and a bottle of champagne on ice.

She smiled as she plopped a sweet into her mouth, then tied up her hair. she had a new plan now, and she decided to keep it as simple as possible.

She will get through this evening with the Mr. Vincenzo’s family and in whatever time is set, she’ll get married to him. She wasn’t a fool, she found out of the ultimatum the elder Mr. Vincenzo had set and Luca had less than 3 months to find a bride and someone like him would never had found someone that quick. Coincidentally, that’s when she came into the picture.

How timely!

She will get married to him, use him as a shield to bring down the Moretti family and to get as much money and power as possible, get divorce and disappear from the face of the earth. A new identity and a new life is all she really needed, and if Luca is the key to that, what’s a wedding band in comparison to that?

She only needed three month.

CHAPTER FOURBianca could not believe her luck, she schooled her face into a non-chalant mask as she mused over how lucky she was to have to meet her target twice already. She was suddenly more annoyed at how unprepared she had been at both instances; first, at the elevator and now, here. Immediately she had recognized who he was back when they were in the elevator alone, she was frustrated that she could not make any move to hurt him because this was his family’s hotel and the elevators had camera. They would have seen her face and haunted her down until they were sure she was dead, so she let that opportunity slide and decided to come and check out how The Opal is appealing to people of his caliber. She couldn’t deny that she was impressed but she was more frustrated that the only weapons she had on her was a gun she had hidden under her dress, the small pin dagger that held her hair in a chignon and a poison lipstick she always carried in her purse. She had no idea how she would ma

CHAPTER THREE“Father, forcing a marriage on me really isn’t the best option, especially to Adriana. You know I only have affection towards her as the cousin she is to me. This marriage would break her”, Luca tried to reason with his father who was just sitting quietly and letting him rant, Luca never liked when his father goes quiet, it never is a good sign and so he was almost certain that all this logical reasoning wasn’t going to change his stubborn father’s mind.“Adriana is beautiful, kind, compassionate and she is family. Non si fa del male alla famiglia (we don’t hurt family) and you know this”, Antonio responded calmly.Luca took a deep breath to calm himself down, he now understood why his father had picked Adriana. She was supposed to be some beacon of hope that appeals to his humanity for some reason and his father was right, he would never hurt Adriana…at least not physically but he could not vouch for that in regards to emotionally and mentally.“Find a woman that would

CHAPTER TWO“I heard you are the best assassin in the whole of Boston and with these results you have shown, I no longer have a doubt”“As long as the pay is good, the job is going to be worth it. It is my policy”, Bianca replied as she pushed a stray hair away from her face to the back of her ears. The man that hired her had a grin on her face that she didn’t like but for the amount of money he had paid for the past two jobs, she stomached the disgust she felt. It was not that the man was ugly, on the contrary, he was actually outer worldly handsome with his very enrapturing green eyes. What she was not comfortable with was his aura, it was deadly…a bit too deadly for her taste.“Perfect!”, he exclaimed as he leaned back on his seat. “I have a new job for you.”“I am sorry to decline. That was my last job for you.” She turned around and started walking away when two bodyguards stepped out of the shadow to block the entrance.“Would you tell your men to leave the way or do I have to m

CHAPTER 1Luca Vincenzo woke up from sleep and looked around him, he sighed disappointedly went he saw the two ladies that laid naked beside him. He was already growing annoyed at the sight of their porcelain bodies lying peacefully beside him. Yes, the sex was good but he needed them out of his penthouse immediately, so he rudely shook them awake. They grumbled as they woke up and started touching his shoulders, thighs and any other parts of him their sluggish hands could reach, thinking he was waking them up for another bout of sex.“Darling, are you in need of another round?” one of them drawled but her voice grated his eardrum.“Get out of here immediately”, he growled and stood up from the bed and went to the bedstand, he pulled out a gun from the drawer and showed the ladies.“I am going to go and take a shower; I don’t want to come and meet either of you here or else…” he paused and waved the weapon in from of the scared ladies who were suddenly widely awake and bundled togethe
