Chapter Seven

Lila walks quickly as we jet down to the seafood bar. I wonder why she is acting so strange. Probably nothing. I have lived my life being around people acting strange. She seems to care about me and everything going on with me. I am probably just I don't know being ridiculous. We walk up to a bar at the end of Bourbon Street. This has been the longest walk ever. Maybe it has not. Maybe I am being dramatic. I am tired and extremely hungry.
We arrive at the seafood bar and it is all blacked out. The windows are black and there is no sign. Lila doesn't seem bothered by it. But for me, I find it somewhat disturbing about all of this. It seems off to me. Of course, I have never been here before so maybe this is perfectly normal.
"Lila, I do not mean to sound ungrateful, but why is well why this place is all well you know ....it is blacked out. And to be honest it is giving me the creeps." I ask. I am trying to be as respectful as possible.
"It belongs to a vampire my dear. Do not be alarmed they all know who you belong to," she says.
Belong to. Okay. I guess I do. I guess I do belong to him. For now, I belong to someone. It almost feels nice to well belong to someone. I do not feel like a burden in any way at all. I feel like my life is falling into the right place. Maybe all of this will be good for me.
"Okay. I was not trying to sound like I did not trust you. Please do not think that," I say.
She gives me this smile like I just made her mad or something. I can't figure her out. She is so nice to me but she is off. Something is really off with her. For now, I have to just let it go. There is nothing I can do about this current situation I am in. So I will go with it.
"Tatina, I would never put you in any kind of danger. You have to believe that," she says.
I do not know. Something is so off. But maybe just maybe I am just on guard. I will trust her for now. Until she gives me a reason not to trust her.
"OK. I was just wondering why. And why are we going to a vampire place?" I ask.
“Sweetie, they have the best food," she replies.
That makes no sense but I smile and agree. Why would vampires be operating a place for humans to come to eat unless they had a motive? And what is her motive for bringing me here? Now I feel like there is one. She is up to something and it is no damn good.
I go to the dark restaurant. The worst thing that could happen is a vampire tries to take me out. I am not sure if that should be the least of my worry. I should be worried about a vampire trying to breed with me. Surely Lila would not let one of them take me.
We go in and we are seated by a girl that I am sure is not a vampire. At least I do not think she is. She hands me a menu. She does not give Lila one. That is odd.
"Are you eating?" I ask Lila.
"Yes, but I come here a lot and they already know what I want," she responds

The Auction Renae and Lester
Draco POVTatina is terrified; hell, I am afraid. I am happy to see Renae and Lester here to help keep her calm and maybe put her mind somewhere else. Renae gets out of the car and is running straight into the house to see Tatina. Renae comes up to check on Tatina. I know it will be hard for Renae to see her like this. It is hard to see her, such a vibrant soul that Tatina is, and now she is weak. She will not be fragile for long; as her powers shift and her cravings grow, the doctor assures me that her powers will become stronger than ever after the babies are born. Her focus is not on her vampire transition or losing any of her identity as a fairy. Tatina is only focused on the two babies growing inside her, and as she changes, I can hear every thought in her head. She worries for them so much. It consumes her and makes it hard for her to care for herself. I guess that is most mothers."How is she?" Renae asks me
The Auction Tatina is turing
Tatina POVI awake in the bed alone and afraid. I feel strange, and maybe a little afraid of what is happening to me. I crave blood. It is like a burning desire that aches within me. I need blood. It is all I can think about right now and that loud thundering sound coming from within me. What is that? Why does it sound like there is a storm brewing inside of me?"Tatina, my love," Draco whispers to me from the bedroom door. I look up at him. He looks concerned and so devilishly handsome. I lick my lips and think Ummm I would love to drink from him. Blood, it is what I need, not sex, just blood!"I am so hungry, my love, and I hear this noise. It sounds like two thundering storms coming from within me. I am not sure what is going on with me. I am just so fucking hungry. I need blood. Please let me drink from you," I hiss at him.Draco opens the door and comes inside the bedroom. He looks more concerned as he comes into the room
The Auction Vampire Side
Draco POVTatina is still asleep when I get out of bed this morning. She was wild and on fire for me last night, which I enjoyed every second. We finally went to sleep when the sun was coming up this morning. I lay with her for a few hours and then decided to get things ready for our visitors today.Tatina has a million ideas for Lester and Renae. She is excited that they are taking over the hunt. If there is anyone that carries on in our place, it is Lester and Renae. I hope Tatina is serious about staying out of the hunt. We cannot put a child in danger. I will not do it. The Auction The Mountains
Draco POVTatina and I arrive at a small cabin in the mountains. Lester was able to secure us a cottage when I called to tell him that Tatina was pregnant and we needed a place long term. Lester made a few phone calls for me and managed to find a nice big cabin far away from everyone.Tatina wanted off the radar, and this is definitely it. Tatina gets out of the car and walks around the cabin to see what it has to offer. "There are no neighbors," Tatina says."Nope, what am I going to eat?" Draco POVWe all go back to Ronica’s place to gather ourselves and figure out what to do next. I have to get Tatina straight so we can get the hell out of hell. I am done with New Orleans and the vampire authority. I am sure she is too. We no longer have to worry about Samuel or Tara, but I still want to get her as far away as possible. I am sure there are pieces of Tara all over the yard from the explosion, along with a few people that were bidding on the auction. We were able to get everyone out safely that mattered. Lester called the authority building and reported the explosion at Horace’s place. I am sure there will be a cover-up. Samuel’s name will not be tarnished. The vampire authority would never take the fall or let one of their own take the fall. I could care less. I have Tatina back, and nothing else matters. Draco POVI awake early so I can get everything together before Tatina gets out of bed. I get out of bed quietly, so I do not wake her. I turn on the bathroom light to dress. I go to let Tatina know that I am going to check on Natie after I dress. She will need a few moments to wake up and get her a cup of coffee or a coke. I pull back the covers, and Tatina is not in bed. She must have gone to check on Natie. I cannot believe I did not realize she got out of bed. I must have slept hard last night. I dress quickly and go to Natie’s room to check on Natie and see if Tatina needs anything. I open the door, and Natie is gone. No Natie, No Jessie, and No Tatina, where is my wife?
