Sapphire

The calmness in his voice made me squirm in my seat. His low sound resonated in my ear yet I decided to stay silent. I couldn't bring words to my mouth with just thinking about how horrifying that was. At his question, I was forced to think about everything that had happened a few hours ago, and it was beginning to make me uneasy again. If I pondered over it any longer, I knew I would start crying again.

"Pretty girl, it's fine." He mumbled, ever so softly. "I just want to know what happened. Did anyone…"

He paused at that before continuing. But this time, his voice held anger.

"Did anyone try to hurt you?"

I sighed. "No.” I closed my eyes. “I just… it happened, alright? I guess I was just weak. It does not matter now.”

"It matters." he said a little coldly. "It definitely matters to me. A lot."

"Sean, this is why I do not want to share it with you. You will target them-"
