Aria's POV

I followed behind Flora, clutching the cardboard box in my arms as we walked through the long hallway.

I could feel the eyes on me from every direction—some were whispering, others didn't even bother hiding their stares.

"This is Aria Vale. She'll be working in your department this month." Flora introduced me with a practiced tone before quickly turning on her heel and walking away.

The department supervisor who had been smiling stiffly dropped the act the moment she left.

Without saying a word, he walked off, leaving me standing there like a misplaced object.

The edge of the box dug painfully into my arms. The entire floor seemed to freeze.

Everyone kept their heads down, immersed in their work, unwilling to spare me even a glance.

The silence was suffocating. I took a deep breath, gathered what was left of my courage, and knocked on the supervisor's office door.

"Excuse me… Could you tell me where my desk is?"

He didn't even look up. His fingers clattered across the keybo

Just when it seemed like he actually cared Kane leaves w/ leaving Gabriella in charge. I hate that Kane acts like a child instead of a CEO, it gets old. I feel sorry for Aria being in a hostile work environment. I hope this will make her stronger where she wont care what people say or do.

  • The Billionaire Regret After My Goodbye   Who Are You?

Kane's POVThe moment I reached the front door, I saw them—a pair of women's heels.Aria was back?My brows drew together.I'd expected her to stay away for at least a few days, sulking in silence like she usually did. I didn't think she'd come back this soon.As I passed the guest bedroom, a strip of light seeped through the cracked door. I frowned again but didn't stop. I went straight to the master bedroom.Empty.Standing in the middle of the room, I couldn't shake off the dull irritation creeping up my spine. After a shower, with just a towel wrapped low around my waist, I lay back on the bed. But instead of relaxing, my mind betrayed me—flashing images of Carol at the pool. Her body against mine. The teasing way she smiled. The way her skin felt.My body reacted on cue.But then… I remembered Aria was right next door.I rolled over, jaw clenched.Even if I needed someone toni

  • The Billionaire Regret After My Goodbye   I Can't Stop Thinking About Her

Carol's POVThe sudden splash of water snapped me out of my thoughts. I turned around—only to find that the man was no longer beside me.My heart skipped a beat. I looked around in a panic, only to spot him already out of the pool, his back to me as he wrapped a towel low around his hips. For a second, I froze. His back was sculpted—broad shoulders, a narrow waist, every line of muscle cut to perfection like he'd stepped out of a dream. My breath caught in my throat before I could stop it.But when I came to my senses, he was gone.I bit my lip, heart fluttering, and quickly gathered my things before hurrying toward the changing room. After a quick rinse and a change of clothes, I stepped out of the locker room with my gym bag slung over my shoulder. My heart still held a tiny hope—maybe I'd run into him again. But when I reached the lobby and scanned the area, there was no sign of him. Not even a glimpse.

  • The Billionaire Regret After My Goodbye   A Girl Like Aria

Kane's POVAfter a full day of meetings and back-to-back work, I finally stood by the floor-to-ceiling windows and stretched. My neck cracked with a quiet pop, loosening some of the stiffness. My mind felt foggy, and my eyes burned from screen time. Yeah, it was time to hit the pool and clear my head.Baron knocked once and came in, calm as always. "Sir, the pool's empty."I nodded. "Good."He always knew what I needed before I had to say it.ATTA was my creation—every inch of it built to my standards, including the private gym floor and the underground pool. My personal oasis. The staff all knew the unspoken rule: if I was headed to the pool, no one else should be near it.After Baron left, I grabbed my swim gear and took the elevator down.Once changed into swim trunks, cap, and goggles, I warmed up a little. As the tightness in my back began to ease, I dove in. The moment the water enveloped me, I felt like I could breathe agai

  • The Billionaire Regret After My Goodbye   What Now?

Aria's POVThe moment I left ATTA and got on the bus to the hospital, it felt like someone had taken a blade to my chest, slowly slicing it open with every bump in the road.My eyes burned with dryness, but not a single tear would fall. I was overwhelmed with frustration and sadness, but my body refused to release any of it.I leaned against the window, letting the night seep into my mind, one shadow at a time. Memories came crashing down like waves—every moment Kane had been kind to me replayed with vivid clarity, like scenes from a film I never asked to watch. His warmth. His affection. The way he once shielded me from the world. I really believed, even if just for a moment, that I mattered to him.But then came the rest—the humiliation, the cruel words, the way he trampled on my dignity. Those cold eyes. That mocking tone. They cut deeper than any knife. We once had something tender—intimate moments that felt like

  • The Billionaire Regret After My Goodbye   Do You Love Me?

Gabriella's POVKane's face turned stormy in an instant."Gabriella, don't you have anything better to do?" he said, narrowing his eyes at me.I blinked. "What's that supposed to mean?""If you're so bored, go back to your family's company and stop hovering around mine." His voice was cutting, like he couldn't stand the sight of me—like I was just some buzzing insect that needed to be swatted away.I froze. He'd never spoken to me like that before. Even when he was irritated, he'd always kept up appearances—because of who we were to each other. My chest tightened. I softened my voice and tried to sound concerned. "Kane, are you okay? Bad day?" I lowered my eyes, played the part of the gentle fiancée. "I'm sorry… I didn't mean to bother you. I'll go now."This move had always worked before. He'd always cave when I backed down. But today, he didn't budge. Not even a flicker of emotion.I st

  • The Billionaire Regret After My Goodbye   Too Cold, Too Cruel

Aria's POVI hadn't returned to the apartment in two days. Deep down, I knew Kane would come looking for me—I just didn't expect him to show up so soon. The moment I saw him, my heart slammed against my ribs, my breath caught in my throat."Get in the car."No greeting. No warmth. Just a cold, commanding order—his voice sharp enough to cut glass.I stood frozen in place, refusing to move. I didn't even look him in the eye.Because I knew the second I did, I'd falter. I'd break."Didn't you hear me?"His voice turned darker, laced with fury—as if my silence was some kind of personal insult. My body instinctively shifted toward him, the old habit of obeying tugging at my feet. But then Chad's face flashed through my mind—how broken he looked when he woke up, how desperately he avoided the truth. He was proud, strong, and now reduced to… this.I couldn't leave him. I wouldn't.
