CHAPTER 1

 

FIRST MEETING

 

Eversince I was a child I always thought that life was easy because I lived in a pompous, happy, luxurious, and perfect family I have but, that was i thought. Ang buhay kong magarbo ay hindi pala talaga totoo dahil nalulugi nadin ang kumpanya namin simula ng may pinagtalunin ang mommy at daddy.

 

Ang masayang pamilyang meron ako biglang naglaho simula ng may malamang sikreto si daddy na inilihim niya sa amin ng mommy at ng aming bunso. Ang sunod sa luho kong buhay? Yes it was totally a fact dahil talaga namang lahat binibigay sa akin ng daddy. Perfect family? I already tolf my self that my family was perfect but, that was fake. Simula ng mamatay ang daddy nagbago lahat ng buhay na meron ako.

 

Ang mommy? I told you before right? I had no one. Si auntie ang kumupkop sa aming magkapatid magmula ng maulila na kami. Ginapang nyako simula high school up until my college days. I graduated business administration since hindi rin kaya dahil kapos kami sa pera at isa pa mas kailangan ng kapatid ko magaral kesa saken. I can work before ahead of time, and i am now a secretary of the ceo in wertheimer group of companies.

 

“Yulliyah punta daw sa lobby lahat ng employee may announcement ang ceo right? Let’s go kung ayaw mong mahuli” you heard it right, mayroong importanteng anunsyong sasabihin ang presidente ng kumpanya. And that was my co worker lara.

 

Nagderederetso na kami pababa papuntang lobby I’m curious about sa announcement ng boss namin and i heard he was sick so i have a thought on my mind what will be going on later.

 

“Good afternoon” Our Ceo Mr. Julius nathan Wertheimer said with his cold voice. Kahit naman ganyan yan si sir julius mabait naman siya kahit na nakakatakot mang titigan sya he knows how to handle and respect an employee in his company.

 

“ I know that many of you knows na magreretiro na ako sa aking pagiging ceo dahil may business akong nararapat na ayusin sa ibang bansa.” Wait what? Magreretired na siya? Iknow na mangyayare to but not this time masyado pang maaga but then again he is a wertheimer iknow na may papalit agad sa kanya.

 

“Since i will be retiring today my eldest son will come today who will be your new ceo in this company. Im expecting you all to welcome him and respect him too.” Wait eldest? I know na may eldest son siya but ang pagkakalam ko nasa ibang bansa siya naglalagi eversince that was my co workers always topics because they say they are hot, handsome, had a goldy feature that every women will die to touch for. And lastly since he is an eldest son they say he is rude, cold, ruthless, emotionless and heartless guy.

Dahil hindi kasi siya lumaki kasama ang ama niya that was i know. Syempre dont judge the book by its cover they say that’s why maybe i will examine him when he is here.

 

And speaking of there’s a guy who walks down here wearing his intimidated aura and emotionless eyes na kapag tinitigan mo para kang nahihipnotismo ng ganda ng kanyang electric blue eyes.

 

“This is my eldest son Craige Ford Wertheimer” Mr. Julius said while his eyes focused on his son while his son examine the people here and said

 

“Good afternoon” hanggang sa maglapat ang tingin naming dalawa na animo’y ayaw na niyang bawiin pa. Nakakaintimidate nga ang kanyang mga tingin ngunit, para bang nakita or narinig ko na ang kaniyang boses sa kung saan.

 

His cold voice is very familiar na para bang napakadelikado nyang tao sa kanyang bawat salitang binibitawan. But then again I just looked in the other direction and ignored his gaze. After his father introduced him as a ceo he suddenly turned his back on every person who was here and walked to the ceo's office as if he were a powerful and dangerous person you would not want to bump into. 

 

After the introduction of the companies son aka new acting CEO nagsibalik na kame sa kanya kanya naming pwesto. I really don't know why the ceo must retired he just called a meeting and then boom he said that he was retiring suspicious isn't? But, who am I to do conclude? I'm just a secretary and nothing else.

 

Anyway back to my normal estate I'm now in my cubicle and finishing what am I supposed to do when I saw my bestfriend on the edge running towards to my..... Direction yes, here comes the daldalera Queen.

 

"Yulliyah! Did you see our new ceo? Ang gwapoooo!! Makalaglag panty buti nalang nagsoot ako ng makapal HAHAHAHA" She said while laughing out loud na akala mo eh siya Lang ang tao dito sa building.

 

"Ang ingay mo baka nakakalimutan mo office hours Pa mahuli tayong nagdadaldalan baka mapagalitan Pa tayo " I said to her while finishing my reports.

 

"Eto naman napaka kill joy talaga tsaka hello sino naman magtatangkang pagalitan tayo? Wala dito ang bruha ng accounting department kaya ayos Lang na makipagdaldalan tsaka isa pa ikaw nalang naman ang may ginagawa. Teka nga muna, why don't you answer my question first? Ang gwapo diba? " she said while fantasizing the new boss hay nako wala ka na talagang pinagbago mayie. Yes you guys heard me her name is Mayie Madrigal my best friend for 18 yrs now.

 

"Aanhin ko naman ang gwapo? Pwede ba tigilan mo na nga ako sa kadaldalan mo mamaya na tayo magusapan once I'm done, arasseo? Sabay tayo maglunch may sasabihin din sana ako"

 

" Hmp! If I know napogian ka din sino bang Hindi mapopogian sa mala Adonis na muka ng bagong ceo natin? Gaganahan nako magtrabaho neto HAHAHAHAHA bye friend see yah latur on lunch " Mayie said while running away hay nako may boyfriend na siya't lahat lahat di padin nagtitino ang gaga. Anyway back to my usual work I'm updating the new schedule since malapit na ang anniversary ng company.

 

Ano kaya ang pakulo this year? I just want to know para makapag prepared ako since hindi naman talaga ako nagpupunta sa anniv ng kumpanya because of my personal matters. Wanna know what is it? No I just said it's personal malalaman nyo din naman once I go back home.

 

"Yulliyah tawag ka sa ceo office ni bossing change of plans daw dunno what is it" The assistant secretary said interrupting my thoughts HAHAHAHA ano naman kayang dahilan bat pinatawag ako?

 

"Okay. Thanks mics! Coming" I said while walking up to the ceo office. I knocked on the door first and after my boss said coming i open the door slowly and came in. Wait. Why is he doing here? I thought sir julius is alone but why is he here? What's his name again? I forgot.

 

"Sit down yulliyah" sir julius said to me authoritatively and who am i to refuse? So even if i dont want to. I sit down on the sofa in front of his son because this is the available seat to me since sir julius sit on his office chair.

 

"May i know why did you ask me here sir?" i respectfully asked him because i really want to get out of this office since nakakailang yung tingin na iginagawad sakin ng anak niya. Don't get me wrong pero base sa peripheral vision ko sa akin nga siya nakatingin.

 

"You already know that i'm retiring right? I want you to choose your job since i'm not going to be your boss starting tomorrow. you can hire a new secretary and train her for a few months to replace you because craige will be his boss or you can stay here and be his secretary." Magsasalita na sana ako ng sumingit yung anak nya which is medyo disrestpectful indeed. "she can be my executive secretary dad no need to hire a new one." he said while not taking his eyes off of me.

 

"Ofcourse she can son. Ask her first." Sir julius said while turning his gaze to me. Seriously? I can choose right? How am i going to choose if they are intimidating me through their eyes? Baka maling salita ko lang eh mawalan pako ng trabaho dito thats why i answered them

 

"Yes sir i can stay here and be his secretary" i dont have a choice. I really need income right now.

 

" That's good you may now start tomorrow. You can go now." Sir julius said kaya tumayo na ko pero bago pako makalabas ng pintuan sir craige said something that really gives shivers down to my spine

 

" Nice meeting you again"
