A deal

"Excuse me, Mrs Amber, I would like to check on something," Dave said and left the two Ladies to themselves. He heads in the direction Daisy took.

Inside, Daisy couldn't help but cry in silence hoping no one would come in but then, her wishes were ignored as Dave walked into the room.

"You ok?" He demands, hands buried deep into his trousers. He stands by the door staring back at her tiny frame.

Daisy turns away the moment she hears him, she doesn't want anyone to know she's been crying

"Don't I look ok to you?" She demands.

Dave observes a moment of silence before saying, "Just concerned... Saw you hit against the table" he explains.

Daisy wants him to leave but doesn't know how to go about driving him, she walks to the sink and lets the water flow on her hands to ease her burdens.

"You aren't supposed to be here?" She gently washed her hands as if she weren't talking to him

"Why? Don't I deserve to be with my wife?" Dave demands with a slightly raised brow

Daisy stutters in her words, "T-you sure have the rights but this... This is a public place and a female restroom at that" she explains.

"So?" Dave acts as though she is saying something important.

He takes long counting strides towards her, Feeling scared and insecure, Daisy takes a step behind. Thanks to Dave's good senses, he stopped approaching

"We shouldn't do this in here!" Daisy stutters in fear

Dave frowns, "Do what exactly?" He finds her funny.

"What you are trying to do... I-it's not proper" Daisy explains innocently.

A soft deep yet pleasant sound resonates in the room, it is Dave laughing. How can he not laugh when a small and innocent bun like her is thinking of bad things?

"I don't know what you are talking about but, to get straight to the point, I'm here to have a chat with you," Dave says.

Daisy's face grew crimson red in embarrassment, She didn't know why but the first thing she thought of when he came in was the adult deeds and it scared her

"Ok" came her dull response

"I'm pretty sure you are married to me now not by choice but by force. No, I'd rather say, by duty, right?" Dave asked.

Daisy didn't know what to say, she didn't know his intentions. Maybe he is trying to trick her into saying something that might be used against her and she doesn't wish to add more loads to the ones she has.

"I too am in that same situation as you. And that is the common similarity of the problem we both have" he points out

"Why are you telling me all this, what do you want?" Daisy demands.

"Exactly what I was waiting to hear. I don't need much from you." He pulls his hands out of his trousers, reaches for his necktie and releases it a bit.

"We both have absolutely nothing in common except our non-objectional duties to both our families. You are young and I'm pretty sure you have someone you love and wish to be with instead of getting stuck with a grown-up man like me" he let out a heavy sigh

" By choice, I would have gotten married to someone else... That which I love and cherish but I can't do that, because of you" The sound of Dave's voice was disappointing.

" To make things easier for both of us, we have to get into an agreement. "He tilts his head to the side waiting for her response

Daisy stared at him for a long time, unsure if she should accept it or not. She truly wants to be herself and not change for anyone. Seeing that it's possible with him, she decides to give in.

"What agreement?" She asked

"When faced with our family members and other public figures, we act as couples who truly love each other but when alone, we go back to our normal life living in two separate rooms and not interfering with each other's life" Dave states

It felt like a dream come true to Daisy, Maybe the world is cruel to her when it comes to love but at least, it decided to help her this time around.

"For how long are we doing that?" She asked

"For as long as we can keep fooling them around until we both benefit from each other and feel satisfied enough" Dave licks his lips and runs his hands the his hair.

"So, deal?" Dave opens up, willing to let everything go.

"Deal" Daisy agrees.

"Alright then, see you outside" Dave turns and leaves the room.

Daisy joined him outside minutes later, Dave was now talking to his mom and dad. Daisy walks up to them, only this time, she is more than confident and aware of the state of their relationship.

She admires him a lot for being open and sincere about his true feelings. The way he smiles, one will never know he doesn't love his bride and that he's doing this out of duty not love.

This made her wonder how much he has buried inside, unwilling to portray to the crowd. His sense of maturity and responsibility are heightened and it makes him more composed and cool.

"Daisy, dear, come over here" Mrs Milton calls out waving at Daisy, inviting her to join them.

Daisy throws her best of forceful smile, "Greetings, Mom!" She greets with respect

"So smart, you now call me mom and I like that a lot." Mrs Milton giggles and turns to Dave

" Your dad was asking over you, pretty sure he's got some words of advice for you before you leave with your beautiful wife for the venture of a new family " She explains.

" I will head to him now, " Dave excused himself.

Daisy stood there, perplexed about what to do or say to Mrs Milton. She's never been faced with a situation like this and it scares her

" Um, do you mind some wine, Mrs Milton? I will get one for you" she offers and is about to leave when she is stopped

"Apart from this being business-related, you should treat my son with utmost respect and in the best way ever"
