I shot up to my feet when I saw Theodore enter the room. A panicked expression graced my face when our eyes met, and then his eyes shifted to the soaked table.

“I'm so sorry!” I gasped, reaching for his phone while trying to clear the plates away. “I-I don't know how this happened...it's my fault.”

As I cleared the plates to the side, my fingers suddenly touched the hot teapot without much thought. I jerked away from the teapot with a loud hiss.

Theodore, who saw this, immediately rushed to my side. He took my injured hand into his own and assessed it carefully.

“Are you alright?” he asked, his voice filled with concern. “It's just a light burn. I'll call the front desk to send some first aid to treat it.”
