Lydia's POV

I was in my apartment getting ready for bed when my phone rang. I saw Miranda's name on the screen and immediately felt my stomach drop. My agent never called this late unless something was seriously wrong.

"Miranda? What's going on?" I answered quickly.

"Lydia, I'm so sorry to call you this late, but I just got off the phone with someone, and I thought you needed to know about it immediately."

"What kind of someone?"

"The same woman who called last week about having damaging information about your past. She called again tonight, and this time she was much more specific."

I sat down hard on my couch, feeling dizzy. "What did she say?"

"She said that Blake is planning to betray you. That he's been meeting with investigators and giving them information about your involvement in some questionable activities from a few years ago."

"That's ridiculous," I said immediately. "Blake wouldn't do that."

"She said he's preparing to blame everything on you if the story comes out public

  • The Billionaire's Scorned Ex-wife Is Back For Revenge   Chapter 120

Nichole's POVI woke up to the sound of my phone buzzing with an email notification. For a moment, I lay in bed with my eyes closed, feeling satisfied about how perfectly my plan was working. Blake and Lydia were probably tearing each other apart right now, just like I wanted.I reached over to grab my phone from the nightstand, expecting to see some routine business email or maybe an update from Marcus about Blake's latest panicked phone call.Instead, I saw a message from an unknown sender with no subject line.I opened it without thinking much about it, but what I saw made my jaw drop and my heart stop completely. There were three photos attached. Photos of David Harrison, the casting director who had given me all the evidence about Lydia's affairs. But these weren't normal photos.David was lying on what looked like the floor of his office. His eyes were closed, and there was blood pooling around his head. He was clearly dead. The second photo showed a woman I didn't recognise, bu

Lydia's POVMy hand was trembling as I stared at the unknown number on my phone screen. Blake was watching me intently, waiting to see what I would do."Answer it," he said again.I swiped to accept the call and held the phone to my ear."Hello?""Where are you right now?" The voice was familiar - the same person I had called before, asking for help with Blake."I'm... I'm at Blake's apartment. Why?""Perfect. Put the call on the loudspeaker. I want Blake to hear what I have to say."I looked at Blake, who nodded. I switched the call to speaker and set the phone down on the coffee table between us."Can you hear me, Blake?" the voice asked."I can hear you," Blake replied, his voice cautious. "Who is this?""I'm someone who's been watching both of you make fools of yourselves for the past few weeks. And frankly, Blake, you've been even more pathetic than I expected."Blake's face turned red with anger. "Who the hell do you think you are to talk to me like that?""I'm the person who's

Lydia's POVI spent the entire afternoon trying to trace that email, but every search came up empty. The sender had used some kind of advanced security system that made it impossible to track. Whoever sent those photos knew exactly how to cover their digital tracks. But I didn't need technology to confirm what I already knew in my gut. Blake was behind this. The timing, the language, the specific knowledge of my past - everything pointed to him.I tried calling his phone, but it went straight to voicemail every single time. After the sixth attempt, I realised he was deliberately ignoring my calls. He was probably sitting somewhere planning his next move, figuring out how to use those photos to destroy me.Well, if Blake wanted to play games, I was going to end them right now. Face to face.I grabbed my purse and called the number I had memorised for emergencies."Hello, Miss Carson," my pilot's voice came through the phone immediately. "Do you need the jet today?"One of the perks of

Lydia's POVI was lying on my couch scrolling through social media when my phone chimed with a new email notification. I almost ignored it - I got dozens of emails every day from brands, photographers, and casting directors. But something about this one made me look twice. The subject line was blank, and the sender was just a string of random letters and numbers. That was unusual. Most of my professional emails came from recognisable addresses, and personal emails usually had actual names attached.I clicked on it without really thinking, expecting it to be spam or maybe some kind of promotional email that had gotten past my filters. What I saw instead made my blood turn to ice. There were three photos attached to the email. Photos of me. Photos that I had hoped never existed, that I had convinced myself had been deleted long ago.But there they were, in full colour and horrifying detail. Me with David Harrison in his office after hours. Me with Mark Chen at that hotel in Chicago. Me

Nichole's POV"I think it's time for Phase Four," I said into the phone, and suddenly I couldn't contain myself anymore. I started laughing - not a gentle chuckle, but deep, hysterical laughter that came from somewhere deep in my chest."Nichole?" Adrian's voice came through the phone, sounding confused and a little worried. "What's so funny? Are you okay?"I tried to stop laughing, but every time I thought about what I was about to tell him, another wave of laughter hit me. It wasn't really funny - it was actually quite dark - but the irony of it all was overwhelming."I'm sorry," I managed to say between laughs. "It's just... Adrian, you're not going to believe what I found out about Lydia. It's so much worse than we thought.""Worse how?"I pulled out a folder I had hidden in my desk drawer - one that contained information I had been gathering for weeks. Information that was going to change everything."Adrian, I've been doing some investigating on my own. Quietly reaching out to p

  • The Billionaire's Scorned Ex-wife Is Back For Revenge   Chapter 115

Nichole's POVI arrived at my office early that morning, before most of the Valmont Industries staff had even started their commute. The building was quiet, with only the hum of the air conditioning and the distant sound of the cleaning crew finishing their night shift. I preferred these early hours - the solitude gave me time to think, to plan, and to savor the progress of my carefully orchestrated campaign. My desk was covered with documents and files that I had been reviewing over the past few weeks. Industry reports, financial statements, competitor analyses - all the mundane business materials that filled my days as Head of Strategic Development. But hidden among them were other papers, ones that told a very different story.I picked up a folder labeled "Market Research - Q3" and opened it to reveal a collection of photographs, phone records, and detailed timelines that had nothing to do with market research. These were the fruits of months of careful observation and planning.
