Chapter 6
Iris felt a lot better after a day of rest. Her new 'friend', Marissa, has been following her around all day. Even Alpha Eris was annoyed and kicked her out of his office. The big bad wolf was really attentive to Iris today, and constantly checked on her condition. Here she was thinking he's a heartless, arrogant man but there was a slightest hint of care towards her. The thought made her stomach flutter.
"Do you have fever?" Eris asked her out of the blue. "Your face is flushed." He continued seeing her confused emotion. This girl has been day dreaming in the middle of her work and what could that be inside her mind? Checking the time it was already lunch. Time passed by so fast.
Mind-linking his Beta he reserved a seat at one of the most luxurious and high-quality restaurants in DarkMoon. 'What's the occassion, Alpha?" Beta Jayden asked curiously. His Alpha last dined in that restaurant five years ago. What made him come back?

The continuous throb of body pain woke Iris up. This time the bruises were visible thankfully there was no sticky feeling on her skin. The elegant woman sat down beside her and watched the water rippled under the moonlight. Only the sound of the blowing wind and the rustling of trees can be heard. Iris was making breakfast early in the morning. Her mind was occupied and thoughts filled with the kiss she shared with Eris. She blushed and accidentally spilled the hot water on her hand. Cursing loudly and immediately cooled her burnt hand with water. Eris arrived still a bit sleepy but it disappeared as soon as he heard a voice masked with pain. "What happened? There were a lot of activities the Omega camp prepared for their founding anniversary. It seems like there was going to be a fair since children were excited and couldn't wait for the celebration day. It would happen tomorrow and most of the booths are already set up. Some trainees were doing their job and guarded the borders, while some helped in setting up tents and booths. Whenever Iris and Marissa were on break they spent time chatting with Penny and learned a lot of things with each other. Iris couldn't help it but missed Eris a lot. The man is not open with his feelings they may have been intimate most of the times, but she couldn't read his mind and actions.
