Third POV

The car cut through the night in silence. Sebastian drove with one hand on the wheel, the other resting on Fiona’s thigh, but she kept her body turned to the side, looking out the window as if the world outside was more interesting.

Since the balcony he had already noticed something was wrong, but in the last hours of the party she had gone quiet, fake smile, short answers. He thought it was tiredness, or maybe too much champagne.

Arriving at the mansion, he parked and turned off the engine. Before she could get out, Sebastian grabbed her waist from behind, pulling her against his body, malicious voice in her ear.

“Let’s finish the party in a much better way?”

His lips were already on her neck, sucking slowly, hand going up under the dress. Fiona stiffened immediately and pushed away hard.

“Go ask Ross,” she snapped dryly, already climbing the stairs in high heels, the sound echoing in the empty hall.

Sebastian stood still for two seconds, then ran after her.

Third POVThe world turned into a blur in the blink of an eye. Fiona saw the white headlights coming straight at her, blinding, the black car accelerating as if it had a single objective: to end her. The sound of the engine roaring seemed like thunder. In the thousandth of a second, instinct took over. She turned the wheel with all her strength, the tires screamed on the asphalt, her car skidded, hit the curb with violence, the airbag exploded in her face, but stayed upright. The black car flew past her side, completely lost control and crashed head-on into a concrete pole with a crash that made the ground shake and the windows of nearby buildings vibrate. The silence that came after was worse than any noise. The black car’s engine was still spewing black smoke. Shattered glass everywhere. The pole was bent, wires throwing blue sparks in the dark. The smell of burnt rubber and gasoline invaded everything.Fiona was shaking so much she could barely hold the wheel. The heart was b

  • The CEO's Unwanted Wife    71: Tea time

Fiona POV I was in the middle of a meeting with the production team when the intercom rang. My mom’s secretary, serious voice. “Mrs. Clarke wants to speak with Mrs. Blackwood now.” Everyone in the room exchanged quick little looks, that silence that falls when the CEO calls like that, in the middle of the workday, out of nowhere. I already stood up right away, grabbed the tablet, heart racing. “I’ll be right back, guys. Keep adjusting the elastic on the Curve Power.” I ran to the elevator, fixed my blazer, fixed my hair, took a deep breath. My mom almost never called me to her office like that. Only when it was a million-dollar budget, supplier crisis, or something that would change the whole company. My head was already traveling through a thousand bad scenarios. I got to the dark wood double door, knocked twice, entered. And there she was. Sitting in the giant armchair, legs crossed, tea cup in hand, smiling from ear to ear like she had won the lottery. “Close the door, daug

Third Person's POV Ross was hospitalized again. The relapse had been strong this time. Her father, Hudson, showed up at the apartment without warning, as he always did when he wanted to command. He shouted that she was “ruining her life”, that she was old enough to marry his partner’s son, that she should stop “causing trouble” and “embarrassing the family”. “I need you to stop meddling in my life, Dad. I can’t take you pressuring every decision I make anymore,” she retorted, her gaze anguished. “I’m doing this because it’s best for you,” Hudson insisted. “Is this really what you want from your life? Living stuffing yourself with pills like a failure?” “Dad, depression isn’t a tantrum. It’s serious, and you’re only making things worse when you belittle me and attack me like this. Please just leave me alone,” Ross begged. “You will stop this nonsense yes, you’ll go to the meeting I set up with the suitor and you’ll marry and give children to this man just like a traditional woman

  • The CEO's Unwanted Wife    69: Collecting victories

Fiona POV Some time passed and I could hardly believe what was happening around me. Sometimes I stopped in the middle of the company hallway, looked at the walls full of posters from our campaigns, the shelves of trophies that started to arrive, and thought: this is real. I did this. The women’s sports lingerie department of Empowear Co. had become the absolute star of the company. After the historic launch of the Empower Female Sport line, sales simply exploded and never stopped. In less than six months we launched three more complete collections: the Performance Pro line with temperature-regulating fabric, the Curve Power line made especially for plus-size bodies with perfect support, and the Night Run line with reflective details that became a fever among nighttime runners. Each collection broke record after record. I saw my pieces everywhere. In the most expensive gyms in the city, in photos of influencers with millions of followers, on the covers of fitness magazines, even on

  • The CEO's Unwanted Wife    68: Let's make peace properly

Third POV Fiona was laughing with a certain mischief. “Well, you were right. I think I owe you a proper apology.” Sebastian, still driving, smiled in anticipation. “What are you thinking of doing?” “Surprise, my love. Surprise. Just take me home quick and you’ll find out,” she said. Sebastian even increased the speed a little, so desperate he got. The car barely parked in the mansion’s garage and the two were already grabbing each other inside it. Sebastian turned off the engine, pulled Fiona onto his lap with an urgency that made the seat creak, hands going up under the light blue dress, squeezing her ass so hard she let out a muffled little moan against his mouth. The kisses were hungry, tongue against tongue, light bites, breaths mixed. Fiona laughed between the kisses, biting his lower lip, pulling the short hair at his nape, already completely crazy with desire. As soon as they entered the house, the door slammed behind them with a bang that echoed through the empty hall. Fi

  • The CEO's Unwanted Wife    67: Ross's backstory

Third POV The next morning dawned clear, the sun coming in through the huge windows of the Blackwood mansion. Fiona woke up to the smell of fresh coffee and the sound of Sebastian moving around in the kitchen. She went downstairs still in her nightgown, hair messy, eyes swollen from sleeping so much and crying the night before, but body relaxed after everything they had done until the sun came up. Sebastian was wearing gray sweatpants, no shirt, making pancakes with red berries. When he saw her in the doorway, he gave that crooked smile that always undid her. “Good morning, jealous wife,” he joked, but the voice was affectionate. Fiona crossed her arms, pretending to make a face. “Good morning, husband who answers ex’s calls at two in the morning.” He dropped the spatula, wiped his hands on the dish towel and went to her. Hugged her by the waist, kissed her forehead. “Today I end this jealousy once and for all,” he said seriously. “We’re going to visit Ross. You’ll see with you
