Chapter 13: Souls

"Help us we're locked up!" A female voice calls.

Sam was in the middle of a dream at that time and it was going to be midnight. While she was dreaming the window of her bedroom suddenly opened due to the strong gust of cold wind coming from outside. The light of the lampshade on the side of Sam's bed also died suddenly.

"Help us ...! Help ....!" Sam hears over and over.

She was in the tree house in her dream where she was standing opposite and observing the tree house. Sam could be scared and tearful the moment she heard the poor voices asking for help.

"Why are you bothering me? What do you need from me?" Sam asked in the voices she heard. She looked around and was distracted when someone suddenly whispered to her ear.

"The devil is imprisoning us, help us." A soul whispered and it suddenly disappeared from Sam's back. Sam was caught in her arms as the surroundings suddenly cooled. As she closed her eyes on her bed the soul of her friend Claire suddenly appeared standing at her feet. Claire looked at her as she was in the dream of those hours. Sam is already sweating because of her bad dream and she still doesn't wake up. In her dream she tried to cover her eyes to wake up but when she opened her eyes she was still in a part of the school. She walked slowly and looked around the scary surroundings of the school. Until the souls of the three students were exposed before her and she was knocked down in shock. Her whole body trembled with fear. She looked at the three students.

"Stop bothering me, I feel sorry for you! Stop bothering me!" Sam shouted making noise around.

After a while the three students pointed something at her and she followed it with her gaze and she saw the girl standing in the distance. The souls of the three disappeared from her sight. She walked to the girl to where it was and as she held it on her shoulder she felt the thrill of the moment Shane slowly turned to her. Sam suddenly shivered and couldn't move when she saw Shane's face that was scary and her eyes were glaring. Shane even smiled scary which was really scary at that moment until she noticed the bodies of the three students lying on the floor and bloody . Shane laughed and a laugh that was scary to listen to. Her laughter was horrible, Sam just covered her ears and closed her eyes. Sam woke up when she suddenly felt cold. When she opened her eyes she noticed that the window of her room was open.

She wondered why her bedroom window was open and in the dark corner of the room she noticed Claire. She saw Claire's face so she wasn't scared during those hours. Claire also suddenly disappeared as soon as Sam stood up.

"Claire, wait!" Sam stopped but it disappeared from her sight. She sat up in her bed and burst into tears as she stared out her bedroom window. She was already feeling cold so she thought of closing the window and going back to sleep. She never had a bad dream again.

When Sam woke up in the morning, she hurried to prepare herself for entering the school she was attending. Her mother and grandmother were busy with what they were doing while her daddy was waiting for her outside. Sam was already running down the stairs and her mother saw her coming out.

"Sweety wait, you're lunch box!" Her mother shouted so Sam stopped.

Sam approached to her mother to get her lunchbox.

"Thank you mommy." Sam thanks.

"I've added some snacks that to your bag just in case you get hungry." Said his mother. "

"Okay mom I'll eat it all." Sam said and smiled at her mother.

Sam turned around and walked to their car where her daddy was waiting for her.

"Dad, let's go." Sam said as she saw her father sitting in front of the car

"All right, get in the car." Her dad said and Sam followed.

Her father started the car and they left. The father and son arrived at the school quickly.

"Bye dad, be careful." Sam said as she got out of the car.

They were in front of the gate at that time.

During those times, Sam inevitable and feel nervous every time she went to school and especially when she saw the tree house. Sam walked quietly to their classroom. Everything was quiet and nothing strange happened that morning.

One afternoon Sam was sitting quietly on a swing outside their classroom. Break time of those times and while she was rocking herself she saw the souls of three students who died.

On the stairs of the tree house as if someone wanted to say.

"What are they doing in the tree house?" She was thinking.

"It's just that all the souls I see going to the tree house, something weird is really going on." She continued.

Suddenly Vince came behind her without her being aware.

"Boom!" Vince shocks Sam.

"Vince ......! You startled me." Sam said with a frown.

"Because your face is serious there." Vince smiled at the same time.

"Do you see anything again, do you see the souls in the tree house?" Vince asked

"Yeah, their faces are sad." Sam replied.

"Wait, do you see them too?" Sam asked.

Yeah, I see them. I just don't pay attention because they don't bother me." Vince said while rocking Sam slightly.

"We have the same ability to see souls. I'm sorry sometimes I avoid you and ignore you."

Vince looked at Sam as he abruptly stopped the cradle.

"It's okay Sam, I understand you because you see souls."

Suddenly the wind blew around. Sam was blindfolded by the flying dust.

In the middle of their conversation, Claire is busy doing evil on how to get the souls. Claire was in the canteen then and an idiot to one side as if having bad thoughts. She watched the students play and pass by in the distance. Eventually Claire got up from her seat and went somewhere.

Sam saw Shane walking towards where. Vince also noticed Shane.

"Why do you look at Shane like that?" Vince asked curiously.

"I noticed because she doesn't seem okay, because ..... there seems to be something strange about her." Sam replied.

Sam stood up and followed Shane secretly.

"Where are you going Sam?" Vince asked.

"Ssshhhh ... I'll just follow her, don't be loud." Sam said.

Vince joined him as well. They both walked secretly while following Shane. Shane just walked straight and didn't look back. It went to the bathroom where the tree house was nearby. When Shane entered the bathroom, Sam and Vince stopped outside the bathroom. They could hear the voices of women who also suddenly passed by them. Sam peeked inside and noticed that no one was there so she went inside and looked at every bathroom door that was there but they didn't see Shane.

"Where she went? Where is she!" She thinks as she stands in front of the mirror.

Suddenly the light inside where she was went out. Turning on the light a few seconds ago suddenly a hand appeared in the mirror. Sam gasped in fear when she saw the bloody hands suddenly appear in the mirror. In great fear, she thought of going out of the bathroom.

Sam's knees weakened coming out of the bathroom where Vince saw her and her chest throbbed.

"Sam, what happened?" Vince asked and held Sam's hand and one hand of Vince on her shoulder.

"She's not inside Vince, it's just weird I didn't see her inside." Sam replied that she still felt the fear of those moments.

"How did that happen? Our two eyes saw her enter there." Surprised Vince said to Sam.

"I was also surprised that I couldn't see her inside and another one had ..." Sam stopped and didn't continue to tell Vince what really happened inside.

"Let's get out of here, don't look at the tree house, it's friday." Vince said.

"What happens when I look?" Sam asked.

"Just follow me and stop asking about it, Sam." Vince said seriously.

They were about to leave when Shane suddenly appeared in front of them.

"Are you following me?" Shane's serious question made it scary to look at her face as if something was going to hurt you.

"Shane!" Vince said looking at Shane who was surprised.

Sam was shocked to see Shane.

"No ... we're not following you. All right, we're leaving." Sam said in a hurry to leave. The two had already walked away from Shane.

"She looks scary. Did you notice, Vince?" Sam asked noticing Shane's looks.

"Yeah, I noticed." Vince replied.

"I think there's something in her." Vince said.

"It's like being possessed. But it's impossible Vince, because her behavior is normal, it's just scary to look into her eyes."

“You’re right you thought Shane was possessed, we need to find out what really happened to her before.” Vince said seriously.

"What are we going to do, she might get hurt a lot more if she's already possessed?" Sam says scared of what Shane intends to do.

Sam and Vince are still puzzled by what is happening to Shane. Vince has been with Sam since the death of Sam best friend Claire. Since then, Vince and Sam have always been together when they go to school and sympathize with everyone. They searched for Sam with Shane's companions before, before her demeanor changed which is why her friends left her.
