Chapter 14: Possessed by a demon

Weekdays and students are off school.

Just in the morning Sam thought of watering the plants in their yard when Vince suddenly came.

"Knock Knock!" Vince's voice from the gate.

" Who's that?" Sam's grandmother asked just next to her stand.

"Hmm, I'll see grandma." Sam said and she lowered her sprinkler.

Sam went to the gate to see who was outside.

"Vince!" She said and she was shocked to see Vince when she opened the gate. Vince smiled at her.

"Hi Sam!" She felt for the maiden.

Sam looked at him wondering.

"How did you find our house? Sam asked.

"Ah I kept asking." Vince replied.

"Why are you here? What do you need?" Sam asked one question after another.

"Before I answer your question, let me in first." Vince said with a mischievous smile. There was no saying goodbye to Sam when he suddenly entered and passed of Sam.

"Hey, wait Vince ...! '" Sam called and quickly closed the gate and followed Vince. Vince saw Sam's grandmother standing near the plants and looked happy looking at them.

"Good morning! I'm Vince, Samantha's friend." Vince's polite greeting.

"Good morning to you too." The old woman greeted Vince.

"Grandma, she's my guest." Smiling Sam said to her grandmother.

Sam suddenly looked at Vince and stared at him.

"Grandma, we'll leave you first." Sam say goodbye to her grandma.

"Come with Vince." Sam said and suddenly she pulled Vince's hand away.

They walked towards the side of the house with the swing.

"Wait Vince, what are you going to do here and you're here now?" Sam asked.

"We're not going to find out what really happened to Shane, so I'm here." Vince replied.

The two of them sat on the swing when they reached the part with a large tree with two swings. 

"Come with me to visit Shane's friends." Vince said.

"But how are we going to do that? We don't know who her friends were before." Sam said while rocking himself slightly.

"Let's ask questions, maybe someone knows or sees who were with her." Vince said seriously while looking at Sam.

"All right, I'll join you." She said politely.

Vince was happy to hear what Sam said.

"Are you sure, no one is deprived?" Vince asked jokingly.

"Yeah, I'm sure. I also want to know if she's really involved in all the phenomena going on." Sam nodded at what she said.

I'll just say goodbye to mom and dad. Come so they can meet you." Sam said cheerfully.

The two of them left the swing and went inside the house. At the back of the house they passed where the swing was near. Sam immediately saw her father in the living room reading the newspaper.

"Dad, Dad ..!" Sam called because the newspaper covered his face so they didn't notice immediately.

" What's is it ?" Her dad asked who suddenly looked at Vince next to Sam.

Sam noticed her father's look.

"Dad, Vince is my friend." Sam's introduction.

"Ohhh ... your friend ...., hi Vince." Her father said as if she didn't want to believe that they were just friends.

Her mother passed by with a load of laundry. It goes outside to hang up the laundry.

"Sweety ...., who else is with you?" Asked her mother who stopped them and put down its handle first.

"My friend, Vince and We're leaving mom, we're going to do a group project." Sam's introduction and lying.

"I'll let you as long as you're careful on the road. Vince you'll take care of Sam, huh." Her mother said and she picked up the laundry before leaving the house.

Her father has returned to reading the newspaper. Sam hadn't left yet when her head suddenly hurt and she was caught in it.

"Sam, what happened to you?" Vince asked.

Sam didn't answer.

Sam's father was busy reading as if numb to what was going on around him. Sam's headache also stopped.

"Don't worry I'm fine. I just suddenly had a headache." Sam said.

As they left the house Claire's soul followed them as if to say something.

Sam felt something strange behind them so she turned away.

"Sam, why?" Vince asked as they both stopped.

"It looks like someone is following us, but nothing." Sam replied.

"Maybe you're just imagining it." Vince sid.

They pass Sam's grandmother again.

"Grandma, we're leaving." Goodbye Sam.

"All right, be careful!" Grandma said.

They couldn't say goodbye to Sam's mother again because they didn't see it outside. When they came out of the gate, they went straight to Vince's car on the side of the road. Vince has his own driver who delivers and picks him up wherever he goes and even to school.

"Sam, get inside the car." Vince said to Sam when he saw that the girl seemed restless.

Sam didn't say a word and got into the car. The driver started the car and they left. While on the road Sam suddenly looked in the front mirror of the car and she saw Claire and it was in the back. She felt fear and weakness. Vince noticed Sam's scared face.

"Sam, what do you see?" Vince asked.

Sam didn't say a word and just covered her face. After a while she looked in the mirror again but she could no longer see Claire.

"Sam, what's wrong with you." Vince asked again.

"I saw Claire." Sam replied.

"Maybe she wants to tell you something. So talk to her and don't be afraid." Vince said to her.

"Do you know who Shane's friends are and their house?" Sam asked.

"I don't know but we can ask here." Vince replied.

"Please stop the car here." Vince said to the driver.

When the car stopped they got out immediately and went to the houses there to ask.

They asked who Shane's friends were and where their house was. Some who knew answered them immediately so they first went to Lester who was close to where Sam and Vince were. When Vince arrived at lester house, they knocked immediately.

"Knock ..! Knock...!" Vince knocked on the door of the house.

The door opened.

Are you Lester?" Sam asked politely.

"Yes, why? Who are you?" Lester asked them.

"I'm Vince, and she's Samantha. We're the ones studying in building no.4 at school." Vince said.

"Ahh ... the building of rich students." Lester said.

"Yeah..," Vince replied.

In the middle of their conversation the wind suddenly blew.

"Come in first and the wind will blow hard again." Lester said.

" Okay thank you." Thanks Sam.

They entered the house.

"Sit here in the living room first and I'll just get a drink. Do you want it?" Lester's offer.

"No, thank you." Sam refuses.

"What do you need and did you even bother to come here?" Lester asked them.

"We just want to know something about Shane." Vince said.

Lester was shocked to hear Shane's name and was suddenly sad. Later Lester also spoke.

"What should you know about her?" Lester asked.

As the three of them were talking the door on the opposite side suddenly opened and the three of them were surprised. Lester felt nervous those hours and even Sam, Vince was just calm in his seat. They lost their nervousness when a woman entered.

"Mom ... you scared us." Disgusted Lester says seeing the mother at the door.

"I'm sorry, I brought some from shopping." Lester mom said.

"Ohhh..you have a visitor." Lester's mother said seeing Sam and Vince.

"Hello ma'am." They greeted politely to Lester mother.

"Hi there." The woman greeted them.

Lester's mother just passed by and quickly went nowhere.

They went back to their conversation

"We have a suspicion that she was involved in the phenomena happening at the school and the deaths of some students." Sam said seriously.

Lester suddenly fell silent.

"Do you know anything Lester?" Vince asked.

Lester looked at the two of them.

"I don't know, all I know is that the last time we met Shane was on a non -school day we thought of playing inside the school. The gate was closed that day so we climbed the fence. We also started playing chase. when we got inside. I feel tired so I sat down first and Shane, Carl and Cara just continued to play chase. I don't know what happened to them, as long as when they returned to where I was upset Shane that day and always an idiot. " Vince's narration.

"You mean Carl and Cara can tell what really happened to Shane?" Vince asked.

"I can't answer your question. Just go to Carl and Cara to get more information about Shane." Lester said to them.

Lester didn't tell them about the scary incident that day with something strange about Shane's behavior. Their conversation ended and Sam and Vince immediately said goodbye to Lester.

They went to Cara's house. Arriving at Cara's house they saw a woman  unpacking clothes outside the house.

"Can I talk to Cara?" Vince said loudly.

The woman looked at them and approached.

"I'm Cara, why?" The woman politely answered and asked.

We're just going to ask about Shane." Sam replied.

They were surprised when Cara suddenly turned her back on them.

"Wait, we just want to help." Vince said quickly.

Cara stopped and faced them.

"We just want to confirm that your friend Shane is really possessed." Sam said.

"That's also our suspicion so we stayed away from Shane. The day we played Shane and I went up to the tree house. I was afraid to go up because of the scary story about it, but Shane tried to go up and I followed. It was horrible inside the hut that day. We saw some black shadows and one had a horn on his head so I ran down the tree house and left Shane behind. When she came down, her behavior changed and then ... then ... "Cara stopped talking and cried.

"Then, what happened next." Sam asked.

Cara looked at them and spoke.

"On our way home Shane suddenly disappeared and what happened next was horrible. We heard a voice so the three of us went with Lester and Carl and we saw Shane bleeding, then someone suddenly pulled her with a sharp fingers So I ran. " Narration by Cara.

"What happened next?" Sam asked.

"Lester and Carl also followed me. We thought of going to Shane's house but when we arrived at their house she was there as if nothing was happening so after that we avoided her first." Cara continues the story.

"Based on your story, the demon possessed Shane. We need to let the elder know." Vince said seriously.

After they found out everything Sam and Vince left.

"Sorry for the inconvenience and we're leaving." Sam said to Cara.

"It's okay." Cara said briefly.

The two left Cara's house and went to church.

When Sam and Vince got out of the car. Cara saw Claire's soul in the back and Claire was looking at her. Cara was scared so she quickly averted her gaze from Claire.

The two arrived at the church and talked to the priest.

"Father, we need your help. There is a student who is possessed by a demon." Sam said to priest.

"Are you sure that the demon has possessed the body? It is not easy to resist the demon that has possessed the human body." The priest said.

"We're sure, a lot of strange things are happening and some students have died." Vince said.

"Then I need a companion to help me. A paranormal investigator to expel the demon from the human body." The priest said.

"It's up to us to call the paranormal, but we don't know where the victim is now." Sam said suddenly bowed.

"It's school day tomorrow and she might come in." Vince said.

"Just tell me when you're holding her, let the older person know." The priest said.

Sam and Vince left and said goodbye to the priest. Vince has already delivered Sam to her house and Vince went home as well. Vince is no longer able to say goodbye to Sam's parents because he is in a hurry to get home.

When Sam entered the house she did not immediately see her grandmother and her parents. She just sat on the chair in the living room and closed her eyes. She did not realize that she had fallen asleep. When she opened her eyes, she was inside the hut of the tree house. She felt a mixture of nervousness and fear at that moment, especially since it was a bit dark around so she closed her eyes and looked up again. She saw what really happened to Shane and Cara. Sam was just silent in the corner as she watched what happened how Shane was possesed by a demon. When Shane possessed and it suddenly looked at Sam scary so Sam suddenly woke up in extreme fear.
