Aziel’s POV

The palace gardens were almost empty at this hour.

I sat on a stone bench beneath a tall tree, the same one I had passed many times during the day. The air was cool. Lanterns along the paths gave off a soft yellow light, just enough to see the outlines of the flower beds and the distant fountain. Most of the palace had gone quiet. Only a few guards walked the outer paths, their footsteps fading after a while.

I needed the quiet.

  • The Emperor’s False Omega   Quiet Garden

Aziel’s POVThe palace gardens were almost empty at this hour.I sat on a stone bench beneath a tall tree, the same one I had passed many times during the day. The air was cool. Lanterns along the paths gave off a soft yellow light, just enough to see the outlines of the flower beds and the distant fountain. Most of the palace had gone quiet. Only a few guards walked the outer paths, their footsteps fading after a while.I needed the quiet. The day had been long. Walking through the halls with Ragnar. The stares. The careful words with Magnus. The news about the attacked caravan. Everything pressed against my mind until I could no longer sit still in my rooms. So I had come here, hoping the night air would help clear my head.It only half worked.I kept thinking about the way people looked at us this morning. Some with curiosity. Some with dislike. A few with something closer to fear. I was used to being watched in my old life, but this felt different. Here, every glance carried a que

  • The Emperor’s False Omega   Open Doors

Ragnar’s POVWe dressed in silence.Aziel moved carefully, still a little sore from the night before. I watched him from the edge of the couch, tying the last of the laces on my own tunic. The morning light made his silver hair look softer than usual. For a moment neither of us spoke. The quiet felt heavy, but not uncomfortable.“We can take the private corridor,” I said at last. “Fewer eyes.”He glanced at me while fastening the last button at his collar. “No. If we hide now, people will only talk louder later.”I studied his face. There was no fear there. Only a quiet stubbornness that had already become familiar. I nodded.“Then we walk together.”A small smile touched his mouth. “Together.”The word settled something in my chest. We stepped out of the study side by side. The moment the doors opened into the main corridor, the air shifted. Two guards straightened so quickly that one nearly knocked his spear against the wall. A pair of servants carrying trays stopped mid-conversatio

  • The Emperor’s False Omega   Cracks in the Masks

Lyrielle’s POVI could still see them when I closed my eyes.Ragnar’s bare chest. The way the blanket had slipped low on his hips. The silver-haired Omega pressed against him like he belonged there. The soft, satisfied look on both their faces before they realized I was standing in the doorway. The way Ragnar’s arm had tightened around the other man’s waist as if protecting something precious.Disgust burned in my throat so strongly I nearly choked on it.I walked so fast through the palace corridors that my skirts snapped against my legs with every step. Servants scrambled out of my way the moment they saw my expression. One young maid was not quick enough. She nearly dropped the tray of clean linens she was carrying as she tried to press herself against the wall.“Watch where you are going,” I snapped. The girl bowed so low her forehead almost touched the floor. “F-forgive me, my lady. I did not see—”“Forgive you?” I stopped completely and turned fully toward her. My voice was shar

  • The Emperor’s False Omega   Unwanted Visitor

Aziel’s POV I woke slowly to the sound of a sharp, high-pitched shriek. For a second I thought I was dreaming. Then the noise came again, louder this time, and my eyes snapped open. Soft morning light filled the room. I was still in Ragnar’s study, tangled under a thick blanket with his arm wrapped tightly around my waist. Our bare skin pressed together, his body warm against mine. The scent of him was everywhere. The events of the night before returned in a rush; the slow way he had prepared me, the careful way he had entered me, the way he had held me afterward as if he never planned to let go. Lyrielle stood in the open doorway, one hand covering her mouth. Her eyes were wide with shock. Behind her, two servants looked equally horrified before quickly looking away and trying to pretend they had seen nothing. “What is the meaning of this?” she demanded, her voice rising with every word. Ragnar stirred beside me. His arm tightened protectively around my waist as he opened his eye

  • The Emperor’s False Omega   The Weight of Knowing

Ragnar’s POVI could not sleep that night. The image of Aziel gasping on the floor of the training chamber kept playing over and over in my mind. The way the crystals had shattered. The crack that had split the wall. The pale look on Valerian’s face when he spoke of the Hall of Echoes. And the words of that ancient prophecy. The soul from beyond the veil will either save us… or break the world.Aziel was that soul.I sat in my private study long after midnight, a glass of untouched wine on the desk in front of me. The reports from the border and the trade agreements waited, ignored. My mind refused to focus on anything except the man sleeping in the chambers connected to mine.I had always been a man who controlled everything. My empire. My army. My emotions. I had ruled through fear and strength for years. People called me the Blood Tyrant for a reason. I destroyed threats before they could grow. I trusted almost no one. Then Aziel appeared.A weak Omega prince who looked at me witho

  • The Emperor’s False Omega   The Echo Within

Aziel’s POVThe training chamber felt heavier today. The air was thick with the scent of incense and old stone and crystals hung from the ceiling, glowing faintly with stored mana. Valerian stood in the center of the room, his robes draped loosely over his thin frame. He looked calm, but his eyes were sharp as always, carrying the weight of centuries of knowledge and the quiet burden of what he had seen in his long life.Ragnar leaned against the far wall, arms crossed, watching silently. His presence was a steady anchor in the room. Magnus had chosen not to join us this time, saying he had other matters to attend to. I suspected he simply wanted to give me space to focus without the added pressure of his sharp gaze.Valerian gestured to a simple cushion on the floor. “Sit.”I lowered myself onto the cushion, crossing my legs. The stone floor was cool beneath me. I straightened my back and tried to look composed, even though my body still ached from yesterday’s training and my mind fe

Aziel’s POVI stepped out of the carriage and the cold night air hit my face. The world outside was chaos.Torches blazed against the darkness. Horses screamed. Men shouted over the clash of steel. The smell of blood and smoke filled the air.Bandits.Or assassins.I did not care which. Bodies alre

Aziel’s POVThe battlefield burned beneath a crimson sky.The scent of blood and iron choked the air as steel clashed against steel. Bodies fell beneath my blade, one after another, until the enemy’s banners were torn down and trampled beneath our feet.Victory. At last.I laughed, breathless, and

  • The Emperor’s False Omega   The Tyrant’s Court

Aziel’s POVThe gates closed behind us with a thunderous sound that echoed through stone and bone.It did not feel like entering a kingdom. It felt like being swallowed.I walked forward anyway. The courtyard stretched wide, paved in dark stone worn smooth by years of war and blood. Tall pillars li

Aziel’s POVThe carriage jolted violently beneath me.I opened my eyes.My body ached. Every muscle felt sore from forcing this weak body through hours of breath control and instinct suppression. My back pressed against velvet cushions that were too soft, too useless. The scent of flowers clung to
