VALERIA'S POV

I felt a sense of belonging and happiness that I had never experienced before. The love and warmth that surrounded me filled my heart with joy, and I couldn't have been more grateful for the opportunity to be a part of something so special. However, little did I know that my newfound happiness would soon be shattered by an unexpected and violent event.

As I was getting ready to leave for my usual training session with Sigil, I heard a commotion outside. Curious, I went to investigate, only to be met by the sight of Brooke and a group of able-bodied men blocking my path. Their menacing expressions sent chills down my spine, and I knew immediately that something was not right.

"What's going on here?" I demanded, trying to keep my voice steady despite the fear that was building inside me.

Brooke, a cruel smirk on his face, stepped forward and said, "We heard you think you're so tough, Valeria. Well, we're here to show you just how weak you are."
