CHAPTER TWENTY FOUR - BEGINNING A GOOD DAY

Valentina just got out of the shower and decided to dress for training. She brushed her wet hair and put it in a ponytail. Then she put on lotion, deodorant, and her underwear.

She pulled on a white workout set that she got from her mom. Her mom always complained about the contents of her closet but also helped to contribute to the "problem."

That reminded Valentina that she needed to call her mom so she decided that she would call her before she went to train with Alexander.

So she walked to her bedside table and picked up her phone, going to the phone app and tapping on her mom's contact.

Mrs. Sharpe answered immediately. "Oh my God, Val. I thought you were dead," she said and Valentina rolled her eyes even though her mom couldn't see her, and chuckled at her too.

"Don't be so melodramatic, mother," she said while still laughing.

"You were supposed to call me sooner, Val,” she said in a sad and concerned tone.

"I know, and I am sorry, mom. It has just been so overwhelming," V
