(Raymond’s POV)

“Everything is ready, Boss,” a voice said over the phone.

“Good,” I replied shortly. “Go ahead with the plan.”

The Bedfords had crossed the line too many times. I had been patient with them before because of our past relationship, but that ended today. I wasn’t going to show them any mercy anymore.

"Yes, Boss."

My jaw tightened as I ended the call. I leaned back slowly, taking a deep breath and trying to stay calm while sipping my drink.

It was already night, but Patricia wasn’t home yet. She had left in the morning to meet Mum for whatever plans they had today, and neither of them had returned.

I knew she was safe... she was with Mum, after all, and I trusted Mum completely to keep her safe. Still, I couldn’t help but worry. The news about Patricia was everywhere. The backlash online was brutal. People were saying terrible things about her because of that footage... the same footage I knew was completely fake.
