Aslan was in a sour mood. She had not returned even yet. And because her laptop was home, he couldn’t track her, and had no idea where she was. He was attending a virtual conference when a knock sounded. He muted himself and spoke, “Come in, Blythe.”

“Mr. Parker, you have a visitor.” She had a smile on her lips, one that she gave him when one of the hookers would come for him in the past. But he was not the same person now.

“What the fuck, Blythe. Send her away.”

“I am not going anywhere.” He was stunned to hear the voice. It was Elena. Blythe made her way out and Elena walked in with his lunch trolley. She was in a tight jeans and a crop sweatshirt. The high pony was suiting her. She was in sneakers. There had never been a woman in his office in sneakers but there she was and he was loving every moment of it.

“You?”

He was about to stand up but she said, “Sit down and finish your conference.”

She didn’t like to interrupt him at work, but she had something planned for him
