Nine - Finding Kiara

Xander felt his knee crouch to the ground, the moon bright enough to illuminate to some extent the woman in front of him. He could hardly see what she looked like but her body was covered in blood and wet mud.

Her long dark hair was wet with mud which smeared all over her face. His heart raced at the thought she was dead but who did this to her?

Who went through the effort of seeing her die so painfully?

What if she had a little life in her?

He leaned closer to her unsure he should still be in the forest after seeing the bloodied body of a presumed dead woman. What if her death is linked to him? He can't have the police and Estoc men after him.

That would be too much for him to handle alone and further investigation might reveal things about himself he would rather keep hidden.

He stood to his feet and walked slightly away from the body.
