Alpha Kristen's POV

I hurriedly had my bath and proceeded to the dinning room for breakfast. I didn't want my 'guest' to be the one waiting for me. It was 9:30am when I got to the dinning table and as I sat down, my eyes locked with a beautiful figure.

"Nice of you to come so early, Alpha Kristen."

It was Venessa. By some kind of magic, she had come so early to the table. I was pleasantly surprised and smiled. The servants brought the food and soon we began to eat. I stole glances at her as we ate in silence. She wasn't a dainty eater but she didn't eat like a pig either. Her bites were lady-like and she ate to her fill.

"Were you royalty by some chance?" I asked as we ate in silence. She looked at me and put her fork and knife down. Before she spoke, she swallowed the food that was in her mouth.

"I was told, it was rude to talk while eating."

I couldn't help but smile at her humour and sarcasm. I wasn't in the least, bit offended by it.
