“Ahh,.... Tell me you love me." Those words flowed in Aria’s room followed by loud Moans.
"I love you! I love you, Aria, so much." The man in the room replied and Sharon froze, in shock.
The pregnancy slip in her hands instantly fell to her foot and her initially blushing face drained of color, not because of the pregnancy sickness but because the voice that flowed freely out of Aria’s room belonged to her husband, Andrew.
There is no way it would be Andrew. He was supposed to be at work!
And for Aria, she was never interested in men!
Sharon didn’t want to believe what she had just heard. She had always believed her husband would never cheat on her but not until this day, even when she received an anonymous message about his husband's extra-marital affair, she never believed it, but she never imagined she would catch him red-handed in the act on their special day.
It was their fifth wedding anniversary, however, Her anniversary was made special by the discovery of her pregnancy,
Sharon wasn’t barren, she had been pregnant several times. However, each ended in miscarriage. After many unfortunate miscarriages due to her fragile womb and repeated miscarriages, she struggled to conceive.
Aria, her stepsister had taken her to a fertility hospital and finally, she was pregnant again.
She wanted to reveal Aria as a surprise but Sharon received a surprise from her instead.
Sharon looked down at Andrew's clothes that were scattered across the living proving it was Andrew, it was the same suit she had chosen for him when going to work.
Her mind refused to process what it was seeing. She took her feet and walked into the room where the loud moans were coming from.
Sharon looked at the lean frame of Andrew's body on the bed, moving intensely, with a woman beneath him. Her face was obscured by a thick mass of blonde hair. Sharon didn't want to believe it was Aria, but there was no denying it—it was stepsister, Aria
The two were so intense that they didn’t notice her until a whimper leaked from her lips.
They stopped abruptly and turned to her side, Andrew panicked seeing his wife of five years.
"B-Babe, what are you doing here?" Andrew's voice trembled, hastily grabbing the bedspread to cover his nudity.
A tear rolled down Sharon's face as her words were stuck in her throat.
Without a word, Sharon's gaze drifted to Aria. In Aria's eyes, a fleeting spark of malice flickered.
"Babe, it's not what you're thinking," Andrew said, moving closer to Sharon. Sharon's eyes followed him, struggling to hold back more tears that were threatening to fall.
Her gaze shifted back to the bed, now conspicuously empty. Aria was gone. Sharon's brow furrowed in confusion, but before she could piece the situation together, a sudden, forceful strike to her head plunged her into darkness
“I told you, the crazy bitch already found out!” Aria's voice sneered, the last thing Sharon heard before succumbing to unconsciousness.
-
Sharon heard a few snaps of fingers over her head shaking her back to awareness, her lashes trembled and her eyes slowly opened up. Seeing Aria standing right in front of her, she panicked and tried to move but that was when she noticed she had no chance or power to, She slowly recognized that she was bound hand and leg with a thick rope to a chair.
The memory came back to her, how she had caught her sister with her trusted husband.
A tear rolled down her face, she had trusted the both of them so much and she never believed she could be betrayed by the two.
“You are up.”
Sharon looked up at Aria who had now dressed up, her messy hair had been combed down, for a minute Sharon began to wonder how long she had been out.
“What’s going on Aria? Why am I tied up after everything you did? Why are you doing this to me.” Sharon cried.
“You should relax and watch,” Aria mumbled.
Just then, the door of the room was opened without hesitation and a familiar figure walked in. It was Andrew.
Seeing him, Sharon instantly sighed in relief.
“Andrew! Thank goodness you're here! I don’t know what’s gotten over Aria, she tied me up to the chair, just untie me, and let's talk about what led you to her bed.” She added in her mind of confusion.
However, Andrew wordlessly ignored her, instead, he walked over to Aria,
“Babe.” He muttered placing a kiss directly on her lips leaving Sharon speechless.
Aria pulled out of the kiss and laughed crazily seeing the shocked expression on Sharon’s face.
“Relax, he isn’t here to save you.” She smirked.
Aria laughed sadistically while Sharon tried arranging the pieces of information gradually in her head, yet she couldn’t understand what was going on.
Aria leaned a bit to her size, and that was when she noticed a necklace
Aria's sudden movement caused her necklace to swing forward, the pendant dangling precariously close to Sharon's face. Sharon instantly recognized the necklace, it was the same necklace Andrew had given her to promise their love,
Aria had the same one too?
“What? You're shocked?" Aria laughed maniacally, and Sharon felt shivers from it. Aria had noticed she was staring at the necklace on her.
“I got this first from Andrew.” She added rubbing her index finger on it.
A deadly smirk suddenly appeared on Aria’s face
“I hate it when I see it on you too,” Aria said and violently snatched the necklace from Sharon’s neck.
A tear instantly rolled down her face, The two had been dating all along?
“Do you think Andrew loves you? He only married you because I asked him to.”
Tears followed down her eyes upon hearing that.
“But why did you do all that?” Sharon said. She didn’t think she had ever wronged Aria or did anything bad to her.
“Do you know how sick I am of seeing your face, Sharon? I hate you, I hate the fact that everything was willed down to you, I mean I’m also his child.” Aria yelled but yet Sharon couldn’t understand
“But, I'm not willing to let you have what was supposed to be mine. So I'm going to destroy you and so I can also inherit everything." She added confusing her more.
There was no inheritance anywhere. Their father died and left a lot of debts behind, but she managed to pay them off before she got married to Andrew.
“What are you talking about?” She was forced to ask.
“I learned everything from Dad’s lawyer, At 23 you will be half of his properties if you are married, I know that’s why you forced yourself on Andrew to marry you.”
“Once you get married and give birth to your first child, the second half is going to be willed down to you.” She added leaving Sharon even more stunned.
“D-Dad?”
"No way..." Sharon shook her head in disbelief.
How come she didn’t know about any of this?
“Andrew and I planned this. I told him to marry you so that I would be in control of your marriage. I’ll be able to ruin you and I’ll be able to take over everything your dad and your mother owned."
“And Instead of going home to grief, I’m going to put an end to your mystery and suffering,” Aria added dangerously.
Sharon who was still left stunned turned to Andrew.
“I’m carrying your child, Andrew,” Sharon said in tears but Aria burst out laughing.
“What do you think? All your miscarriages, how did you think they happened?” She smirked maliciously.
Sharon blinked twice trying to run everything she had heard through her brain.
“What are you talking about?" She questioned, unable to believe what she heard.
Aria was the one who stayed with her through her storms, there was no way she would do that to her.
“All your miscarriage was caused by Andrew and I. Andrew had been drugging you all this while.” She said plainly on her face.
“I mean I can’t watch you carrying my man’s child.” She shrugged.
“And I can’t watch you take everything I was supposed to own. Getting your child will get you all the properties too.” Aria said and Sharon instantly broke down into tears.
“Relax girl, This isn’t time for your little tears, you should think of escaping from here,” Aria said dangerously.
“S-So what are you planning to do with me?” Sharon stuttered.
“You should relax and watch.” Aria grinned and she watched her pull out a kitchen knife out of nowhere
Sharon panicked.
“You don't have to do this, Aria! We are sisters. I will leave everything for you, both the inheritance and.. and Andrew, just Please don't.” Sharon pleaded.
Aria ignored and drove the knife at her sister's chest while Andrew watched and said nothing. Sharon's screams filled the air, loud with agony. Her innocent blood was spilled, staining the floor.
Sharon didn’t want to die now, she didn’t want to leave without getting her revenge.
Chapter 141Matthew watched Sharon for a long moment, his eyes searching hers. He could feel a strange mix of emotions swirling inside him, but the overwhelming one was relief. She didn't push him away, not like he expected. She didn't yell, didn't accuse him. She was only calm, almost too calm, like she had accepted whatever it was that had happened between them. It was both comforting and unsettling at the same time.He took a deep breath, pushing aside his emotions for the moment. He could already feel the weight of his decision pressing on his chest. "I’ll be leaving soon," he said quietly, standing up from the chair beside her bed. "But before I go…"He pulled a cheque from his jacket pocket, the crisp paper a stark reminder of the distance between them, both literal and emotional. "I want you to take this," he said, his tone firm yet softer than usual. "It’s $50,000. It’s not much, but it’s something."Sharon looked at the cheque, her brow furrowing. She shook her head, her voi
Chapter 140 Sharon’s vision blurred as she leaned back against the passenger seat, pain pulsing through her body with every jolt of the car. Ella drove like a woman possessed, her hands gripping the wheel tightly, her foot pressing hard on the accelerator. She didn’t even seem to notice how fast they were going, speeding past streetlights and weaving through traffic. Nothing mattered to her but getting Sharon to the hospital. "Hold on, Sharon," Ella urged, her voice tight with fear. "We’re almost there." Sharon could barely respond. Her head was spinning, and her stomach felt like it was on fire. The pain from Sophie’s blow had only worsened, and she could feel a warmth trickling down her body, blood. Panic set in, but she fought it down, focusing on Ella’s words, trying to stay conscious. The hospital loomed ahead, and Ella barely slowed as she pulled into the parking lot. She rushed out of the car, barely waiting for the nurse to help them before she was ushered into the
Chapter 139Sharon and Ella walked out of the office. She had signed the correct documents, sent them out, and everything had been approved. The project was moving forward, and Sharon was preparing herself for the hard work ahead. This was her chance to take back the company, and she knew she couldn’t afford to relent. The thoughts of what she was about to do made her heart beat faster. She had to keep going. She had to stay strong. But just as they were walking down the sidewalk, Sharon suddenly stopped, her footsteps faltering.Ella noticed immediately, glancing over to her. “What’s wrong?”She didn’t expect it to hit her like this. She touched her belly instinctively, feeling the tightening sensation. The longing, anger, frustration, and that deep yearning. A desire to be near him, even though he was the last person she should be thinking about right now.Ella caught the movement and immediately understood. Her face softened with concern as she stepped closer to Sharon. “Don’t le
Chapter 138Sharon sat back in her chair, her hands steady as she signed the last of the documents that had been sitting on her desk for days. It was a simple task, yet one that had felt like it was looming over her, as if the weight of her recent troubles would stop her from getting it done. But now, she was finally on track. Her signature was swift, confident, and with it, she sent the documents off to their partners. She leaned back, a satisfied smile tugging at the corners of her mouth. The email confirmation came in almost immediately, the message saying it had been approved. Her success was undeniable, and she could already feel the wave of praise building in the air. Not just from her team, but from the shareholders. They had always been watching, and now, they were congratulating her for the success she brought to the company. "Good work, Sharon," came a voice from the doorway. A colleague had stepped in, offering a smile. "Your efforts are paying off.""Thanks," Sharon sai
Chapter 137Aria’s heart pounded as she ran through the streets, clutching her bag tightly to her side. She didn’t know why she was running, or why the fear that gripped her chest was growing with each step. But it was there, clawing at her insides, and she couldn’t stop running. Her mind raced as she replayed the events over and over in her head, Sharon’s collapse, her own actions that led to it, and now the crushing weight of uncertainty bearing down on her. She had never been afraid of consequences before. But now, something was different. She couldn’t stop herself from running.By the time she arrived back home, she was out of breath, her chest rising and falling with each heavy inhale. She slammed the door behind her, locking it with trembling hands. Her entire body felt stiff, as if she were trapped in a nightmare that she couldn’t escape. She leaned against the door for a moment, gathering herself, trying to steady the shaking of her limbs. She had to think. She had to make a
Chapter 136The next morning, Aria walked into the office, her mind was already prepared for the chaos she expected to unfold. She’d set everything up the night before, knowing that the humiliation of Sharon was only a matter of time. She had made sure the photoshopped images of Sharon would circulate, ensuring that her reputation would take a hit. The plan was perfect, or so she thought. Everything would be done once she got to find a dramatic scene. She had anticipated a dramatic confrontation, the kind of scene where Sharon would be caught off guard and fall into the trap. Instead, what greeted her was far from what she imagined. As she stepped into the office, she found Sharon laughing, a wide, genuine smile stretched across her face as she engaged with her project partners.
