CHAPTER 29

I thought Giovanni let me slip from his presence instead he followed me and grabbed my arms.

"What do you want?" I asked him. My voice sounds tired.

I hate this part of me, I hate that my past still holding me tightly. I thought I was able to let go of them but I wasn't.

"I want us to talk, Thalia."

I remove my arms from his grip and he didn't let me go.

"The last time I let your arms go, Thalia. You are gone for how many years," he said with danger in his voice.

"You let my arms go or not, Giovanni I will still go because it's a must, I must save myself from completely drowning in the pain you've caused," I said to him and he stared at me intently.

Those eyes that once looked at me like he wants to devour his prey, he wants to kill his enemy.

"Thalia, I am sorry, I am deeply sorry," he said and look at me gently so I chuckle sarcastically until it became a crying hard.

It's still a morning and yet it feels like the night that ended my life.
