[Viktor’s POV]

The next morning, Vladimir walked into my study, wearing a crisp blue button-down and gray trousers. “I knew you would be here. Couldn’t sleep?”

“No, I just had some paperwork, so I came in early,” I lied, sorting through the stack of papers.

I could feel my brother’s gaze on. He wasn’t going to rest easy until he could get Astoria back in the estate, but he didn’t know how dangerous that could be.

He thought of her as a sister and probably saw me as the person who couldn’t accep

  • The Moon Marked Him As Mine   Moira's Revealation

[Viktor’s POV]The drive back to our estate was a silent one. Vladimir sat beside me in the SUV, staring out the window while I reviewed some documents on my phone. For years, Moira had hidden behind her title as an Elder and her blood relation to the Romero line. She had questioned my authority more times than I could count, always carefully, never outright, to warrant her eviction. This wasn’t the case during my father's time, but she didn’t hold back from the moment I stepped into the role of the Alpha. However, this time her telling off my father had crossed the boundary."You look like you're planning a murder," Vladimir remarked dryly, breaking the silence.“I want to,” I muttered."That bad?” He knew the situation, but Vlad’s thought process was different.I didn’t reply as my jaw tightened.Twenty minutes later, our car rolled inside the Black Estate.Moira's house sat near the northern edge of Pack territory. It was an older mansion surrounded by trees and enough security to

  • The Moon Marked Him As Mine   Rising Restlessness

[Astoria’s POV]I was glad that he hadn’t glanced at me yet or he would have seen the faint blush on my face.“Sit,” he said, finally looking up, so I sat stiffly across from him.“I see you’ve still haven’t run away,” he murmured, his gaze laced with mild amusement.“Why would I? It’s literally my first day,” I countered back. That earned me the faintest twitch at the corner of his mouth as well.“I heard you basically made the HR hire me,” I said nonchalantly.“Did someone bother you for that?” He asked, the amusement dimming slightly.I let out a small sigh. “That’s not…exactly I want, as in…you cannot do that—”“I can, and you are part of the family, hence it is your right to be part of this company,” he interjected, sounding serious.Silence stretched briefly between us before he leaned back slightly in his chair.“What about my earlier company?” I asked tentatively. I had heard from them since morning.“My team has notified them. Don’t worry about it,” he said smoothly.I let ou

  • The Moon Marked Him As Mine   New Office

[Astoria’s POV]I woke up exhausted because I barely slept last night. For a few moments, I simply stared at the ceiling above me while my mind slowly caught up with reality. Today I will be joining a new position, a new office.Damn.Technically, I was still under contract with my previous company. There had been clauses and conditions buried in pages of legal jargon I had barely read before signing because back then, I had simply been desperate to get some kind of job to stay afloat. Now I was leaving abruptly, that too, without even bothering to notify them.A sane person would probably worry about getting sued. Unfortunately, I was too exhausted to care anymore.Besides, Viktor had said that he would handle that stuff. Men like him probably had lawyers who could destroy companies without blinking. The thought should have comforted me, but it onlt made me shudder. I hoped I’d never get in his bad books.I let out a sigh and dragged myself out of bed.Getting ready took less time th

  • The Moon Marked Him As Mine   The Past

[Viktor’s POV]I returned long after everyone had gone to bed, exhausted and in disbelief.Kai was still unhappy. He wanted Astoria to be near us, in a place where we could protect her, but I knew that pushing her further would only ruin the progress I had made so far.I slumped into the high-back couch without bothering to undress. Sleep as usual would evade me tonight. I took off the shoes and rested my legs at the edge of the coffee table. My gaze wandered to the photo frame that still sat at the top of my dresser, acting more like a reminder than a memory.Eight years ago, everything in my life had turned upside down.My mother and Avery, my chosen mate, had disappeared. I sank further back into as I was reminded of the night when I returned from a patrol and found their absence.Initially, I thought it was because they had gone for a shopping spree as they had bonded well, but…Then an hour bled into 3, and before I knew it, I was shouting orders to find them. I remembered my dad

  • The Moon Marked Him As Mine   Persuasion

[Viktor’s POV]My gaze remained fixed on her retreating figure as she walked out of the café without looking back.I simply sat there, my jaw clenched, replaying every word she had said… and every word I had chosen to say.Everything I had chosen to say was calculated, to protect myself and…her. In such moments, I think that being a human is a blessing for her. She didn’t have to deal with the brunt of carrying a bond that was forged by the Heavens above.I let out a slow breath as I leaned back in my chair, dragging a hand down my face.“She’s not wrong,” I muttered under my breath.A server approached hesitantly. “Sir, would you like anything else?” Which only meant that she was politely asking if she could get the bill so I could leave.“No,” I said shortly, already rising to my feet. “Bring me the bill.”After paying and leaving a generous tip, I stepped out of the café a minute later, the evening air hitting me like a quiet slap.My gaze swept the street instinctively, catching s

  • The Moon Marked Him As Mine   Cold and Calculated

[Astoria’s POV]I stared at the screen until my vision blurred. My thumb hovering over the accept button. My heart had already begun to race as intrigue leapt to the forefront. My mind screamed to decline the call, but my traitorous heart wanted to hear the very man’s voice, who I should only see in the familial light.I swallowed and picked up.“Hello?” My voice came out steadier than I felt.“We need to meet and talk,” Viktor said after a brief pause. There was no warmth in his voice or any greeting.Something about that annoyed me immediately.“I’m busy,” I replied, even though my hands were clammy and I was more likely to have a sleepless night after this call.“It won’t take long,” he said, as if my refusal not worth considering.I pressed my lips together, irritation rising. “You could have just told me whatever it is on the phone.”“This isn’t a conversation for the phone.” His voice held enough gravity that I almost agreed before I remembered how he had never checked on me bef

  • The Moon Marked Him As Mine   The Impact

[Viktor’s POV]“And?” I probbed.“He…he never talked about his whereabouts either. Please..I’m…I’m innocent, Alpha,” Lena pleaded, her eyes glistening with unshed tears.“You allowed that rogue to enter the territory on my father’s wedding,” I snarled, letting Kai do the talking. She bared her neck

  • The Moon Marked Him As Mine   Alpha's Wrath

[Viktor’s POV]The moment the sound of the main gates opening came to my ears, I was alert.I had been waiting in the lower hall for over an hour, though “waiting” wasn’t quite the right word. There was nothing passive about the way tension coiled through my body, nothing that could be called calm

  • The Moon Marked Him As Mine   Rescue

[Astoria’s POV]The sound of the wood splintering under a massive force was deafening enough to keep my senses from shutting down completely. My attacker’s head snapped toward the noise, his grip slackening just enough for me to gasp in a ragged breath.A blur of movement crossed the room, but I kn

  • The Moon Marked Him As Mine   Silent Predator

Astoria’s POV]My breath stilled. I felt as if I was transported back to the forest when the rogue first attacked me.Another low and prolonged growl reverberated through the living room. That wrenched me to the reality.I stayed rooted on my spot, unable to think. My mind refused to process what my
