Thirty-Six

Dante stared at his phone for the tenth time today. He knew he had promised not to call her because she went to see a counselor but he just couldn't help himself.

He picked up his phone and dialed her number, it rang but there was no response. He dialed it again and the same thing happened.

Finally, deciding she was avoiding his calls he went back to work. He got lost in the file he was going through, he missed the first call that entered his phone.

So when his phone rang almost immediately he frowned.

"Hello, Mrs. Curtis?"

"Dante, release your woman to come to get these kids the school dismissed an hour ago," Chloe's principal stressed.
