LOGINTHIRD PERSON’S MULTIPLE POV“Maybe… I could use this opportunity to stop whatever plans Mavis had for Rhydian before they even began.”The thought crossed Aurelian’s mind as he marched toward the cafeteria table where the heirs, Tina, Darius and Mavis were seated together. His fingers tightened slightly around his tray. The moment he reached them, he dropped the tray onto the table with a little more force than necessary before occupying the last empty seat beside Tavian.“I still can’t believe I’m going to fail that test,” Astarian groaned dramatically, stabbing his fork into his food as if the meal had personally offended him.Tavian rolled his eyes instantly. “Brilliant boy, stop whining. You aren’t the only one failing. Every single one of us is doomed.”“What do you mean every single one of us?” Aurelian suddenly cut in while opening his drink calmly. “I’ll pass.”The table went silent for a second.Astarian blinked twice.“What?” he gasped. “You actually studied for the test?”“
FIRST PERSON’S POV (AURELIAN) By the time I finished preparing for the academy, the first lecture was already halfway gone—the exact lecture Miss Stella had scheduled her test for. And I was doomed. I rushed out of the servants’ quarters with my bag hanging carelessly from one shoulder, my shoes barely worn properly as I sprinted toward the palace gates, but something caught my attention the moment I passed the parking lot. Or maybe… I imagined it. I slowed down abruptly and turned. The heirs were getting into their vehicle. But what truly stunned me wasn’t Astarian lazily stretching near the car door or Tavian arguing with Rhydian over something trivial. It was Rhydian helping Mavis into the car. His hand rested carefully around her arm while he carried her bag with the other, lowering his head slightly as if asking whether she was comfortable enough before shutting the door for her. The sight struck something ugly inside me. Then Rhydian looked up. Our eyes met instantly.
FIRST PERSON’s POV (AURELIAN)“Bitch, you’re finally back.” Clara said immediately she spotted me approaching. She sprang up from the bench beneath the tree where she had been waiting, dusting invisible dirt off her skirt dramatically as though she had suffered greatly in my absence.“What’s with that name?” I frowned immediately. “I’m Aurelian, not bitch.”“Whatever.” She waved dismissively before turning around and beginning to walk. “Let’s head back to the kitchen before someone notices we disappeared for too long.”I followed behind her quietly.A few seconds later, curiosity got the better of her.“So…” Clara dragged out suspiciously. “How was she?”I raised an eyebrow. “Who?”“The new bitch obviously,” she hissed. “Was she rude? Annoying? Did she act proud already?”“None of the above.”Clara stopped walking so suddenly I almost bumped into her. “You’re lying to me.”“You could say that.”“Bitch,” she muttered again beneath her breath.“Clara!” I snapped louder this time. She bu
FIRST PERSON’S POV (AURELIAN).I dropped the tray of food carefully on Rhydian’s table before lowering myself onto the edge of his bed, letting out a slow breath as the faint scent of cedarwood and smoke wrapped around the room. The bathroom shower was still running, the sound echoing softly through the quiet atmosphere, while thin streams of steam slipped beneath the door. For some reason, my chest felt strangely tight. Maybe because too many things were happening at once. Mavis was finally inside the palace. The heirs had gone against their fathers publicly. And now… the game was becoming more dangerous than before. The sound of the shower suddenly stopped.A few seconds later, the bathroom door opened.Rhydian stepped out with only a towel hanging loosely around his waist, droplets of water trailing down from his damp hair to his neck, then lower… sliding across his chest and disappearing beneath the towel wrapped around him.My eyes betrayed me instantly. They remained glued to hi
THIRD PERSON’S MULTIPLE POV The massive front doors of the Gravefang Palace slowly creaked open, drawing everyone’s attention immediately toward the entrance. The alpha kings stepped out together, their expressions cold and unreadable beneath the pale glow of the evening lights hanging across the palace walls. Their presence alone was enough to make the atmosphere tighten instantly. The heirs, who had remained kneeling in the front yard for hours, straightened their backs immediately despite their exhausted states. Their damp clothes clung slightly to their bodies from the earlier rain while fatigue settled heavily in their eyes. Mavis lowered her head quietly beside them, her fingers tightening weakly around the edge of her dress. The servants standing nearby also bowed respectfully, not daring to raise their heads fully. Alpha Kael scanned the scene before him briefly before speaking. “I won’t waste time.” His deep voice echoed through the front yard. “Mavis is welcome to stay
THIRD PERSON’S MULTIPLE POVBy evening, dark clouds had completely covered the sky above the palace. The rain from earlier had stopped, but the ground remained wet while cold air lingered heavily around the courtyard.Aurelian walked carefully toward the front yard with a tray balanced in his hands. Four bottles of water rested on it neatly. The moment his eyes landed on the heirs, something twisted painfully inside his chest. They were still kneeling.Hours had already passed since morning, yet none of them had moved from their position. Their clothes remained damp from the rain earlier, exhaustion written all over their faces.Even Mavis looked close to collapsing completely.“This is my fault.” He whispered. “They are suffering because of me.”Before Aurelian could move any closer, two guards stepped forward immediately to block his path.“You can’t approach them.”Aurelian blinked in disbelief. “What?”“The kings gave strict orders. Nobody is allowed to bring them food or water.”
