CHAPTER SEVENTEEN
AUTHOR'S POV
"You shouldn't bother about me, you're the only medicine I need to get better," he told her.
His face is close to Luna and he he's still holding her tightly on her waist as though she was going to run away if he let go of her.
"Please," he told her and she could feel his breath on her face. But she isn't ready for this.
"Let's do this some other day," she told him.
"I want it now, let's have sex together, " he said in a commanding tone.
" Was this what he really wanted?" Luna mused.
She's not going to have sex with him until their wedding night and if he isn't okay with it, he should forget about it.
"Not now, Victor, not now!" She told him.
"Not now? Then when?" He asked her slightly provoked.
"You have to wait until our wedding night." She told him.
"Our wedding night?" He said with a disparaging smile on his lips.
"Why our wedding night? Luna, stop acting like a virgin!" He told her.
She couldn't believe her ears. What has come over him?
Embarrassed, she furiously pulled his hand from her waist and pushed him away with all her might and tried walking out of the room when he held her hand.
"You can't leave," he told her sternly.
Was he going to rape her?

On arriving at the hotel, Kieran walked inside and met with the receptionist.
"Hmmm..." He hummed when he heard someone calling his name.
"Kieran,"
Kieran turned around to see a tall, slender, middle-aged man with a white complexion, dressed in a black suit, standing in front of him. The unfamiliar face suggested they had never met before. The man carried a briefcase and exuded an air of wealth.
"Who are you?" Kieran asked.
The man smiled guardedly, replying, "Someone you can trust."
Kieran raised an eyebrow. "And how am I supposed to trust you?"
"Because you're here to meet me," the man said. Kieran shook his head.
"Meeting you doesn't automatically mean I can trust you." Kieran said.
He eyed the man curiously. "Pardon me, but were you the one I spoke with on the phone?"
"Yes, I am," the man confirmed.
Kieran took a deep breath. "How do you know me?"
"I've heard a lot about you," the man said. Kieran's curiosity turned cautious.
"You've heard a lot about me? Hope it's not bad?" He asked the man.
The man chuckled. "Not really. I've heard about your company, and I think working together could be a good idea."
Kieran shrugged, intrigued. The man extended his hand. "I'm Fredrick Lionel."
Kieran accepted the handshake, replying, "You already know my name, so there's no need for introductions."
"Pleasure meeting you," Fredrick said.
"Pleasure meeting you too," he told him with a small smile playing on his lips.
"Okay, come meet with the others at the conference hall," he told him.
Kieran couldn't believe that the man has mentioned that he should come meet with the others. How many are they?
"Who are they?" He curiously asked him.
"They'll be your business partners soon," Fredrick told him.
This seemed more like a dream to him. After his return, he had no plans to start up the company, despite receiving a text message from his former secretary a week ago. The message had extended greetings to him for returning to the group in peace after his banishment.
His secretary had also informed him that the other staff members were waiting for him to restart the company. Although he hadn't responded to the message, the opportunity he'd been searching for to start anew had finally arrived. He was determined to begin again, bigger and better than before.
As he walked into the conference hall with Mr. Fredrick leading the way, Kieran met with approximately sixteen well-dressed men. Upon his entrance, they stood up, seemingly showing respect.
"This is Mr. Kieran, the CEO of Kieran's Construction Company," Fredrick introduced.
Then, turning to Kieran, he said, "These are my business partners."
Kieran's confusion was evident as he asked, "What business, if I may ask?"
Fredrick gestured for him to take a seat. "We'll discuss that shortly. Please, have a seat." Kieran pulled out a chair and sat down.
"I'm surprised you don't know who I am," Fredrick said to Kieran.
"We haven't met before, so I wouldn't know you," Kieran replied.
"A lot has changed since you've been away for seven years," Fredrick explained. "I'm not surprised you're unaware of the changes."
Kieran's curiosity piqued, he asked, "So, what's this meeting about?"
Fredrick's expression turned serious. "I'm a contractor, and there's a contract I'm interested in. I'd like to offer it to you, but there's one condition."
"What's the condition?" Kieran asked. "We'll become shareholders in your company," Fredrick replied.
Given the company's history even before his banishment, he didn't think allowing them to be shareholders would be a good idea.
"Your company would have to go ahead with the plan to build the estate; you'll give me your estimate," the man told him.
"I don't think I like that idea," he said.
"Which idea?" he asked.
"You being a shareholder in my company," he replied.
"I won't be a problem for your company; rather, I'll help you stand on your feet. You have a battle to fight, and you should know that those people have money. You can't withstand them if you don't have yours," he said.
Kieran's curiosity was piqued - who was he talking about? Victor and Liam?
"I don't understand," he said, raising a brow.
"You might not know me, but I know you very well, and I'm here to help you," he said.
CHAPTER NINETEEN LUNA'S POVAfter the incident with Victor, the next day, I left the palace and headed back to my birth Pack, where I'm to resume my duty of taking care of the Prime cub. The drive back to my birth Pack was a long one, but after what looked like eternity, I arrived there. After doing some cleaning, I heard a knock at the door. I opened the door, and I was surprised to see Dylan standing in front of me. How did he manage to know that I was no longer in Stone Prime? "Hi, come in," I said, slightly surprised. "You came back," he said while walking inside the house. "You know I'm the caretaker of the Prime cub; I'm supposed to come back here," I reminded him."Yeah, I know," he shrugged his shoulders and sat down on the couch. "What do you care for: a glass of wine, water, or something else?" I offered. "I'm okay, I just need to have a brief conversation with you," he told me. My hands were wet from the cleaning, so I said, "I'll be back in a minute." I walked int
CHAPTER EIGHTEEN VICTOR'S POV"Victor, let go of me. What's the meaning of this?" She asked me, feeling irritated. "Come on..." I tried speaking, but she cut me off. "Victor, get your damn hand off me!" She commanded, and then I decided to let go of her hands. "What the fuck was wrong with you?" I heard Xander, my wolf, scream inside my head. Goddamnit! Why couldn't I control myself? I shouldn't be the one to spoil things for myself. What should I do now? I know what she'll be thinking now, and if I eventually allow her to walk down that door, she might decide not to go on with the union. I shouldn't let that happen. Just as she pulled the handle of the door, I pushed it back, and it closed. I stood in front of the door when she asked, "Victor, what has come over you?" She asked me, very much provoked, though she's trying hard not to raise her voice. "I'm sorry, Luna. I don't know what came over me," I told her calmly. "You should be sorry for yourself!" She said coldly. "I

CHAPTER SIXTEEN LUNA POVCould he possibly be hiding something from me? He was attacked last night, and I was also attacked; there's more to this than meets the eye. Kieran told me he had followed me to the woods only to meet those guys trying to kill me. Though before I fully lost consciousness, I felt the presence of another werewolf fighting the others; I was just too weak, and at that instant, I became unconscious. I'm not trying to justify Kieran or judge him either; if Victor is telling me he got attacked last night, then it only means he was the one behind the attack."I'm still trying to find out why I got attacked the same day you did. I guess the person who did this to you also tried to hurt me." He told me walking to where I am and sitting down beside me on the couch. "Victor I don't really know who to believe, I don't know if I should believe you or Kieran I don't know who's fucking lying to me now.." I told him. I feel this entire family is making a fool out of me. "C
CHAPTER FIFTEEN VICTOR POVI was able to successfully convince Luna that Kieran was responsible for her attack, and that's what made me happy. I had wanted to leave the palace to meet with Ferdinand's mother, at least to extend my condolences, but I changed my mind. I wanted to be here to monitor things myself so that Kieran wouldn't come in and spoil everything. I knew Luna was mad at him and wasn't ready to talk to him, but things can change in a minute, and I'd have everything backfiring on me. I didn't want to make a silly mistake that I'd regret, so I'd stay right here in the palace until the day of the wedding. My initial plan was to convince her to accept that the wedding holds tomorrow but she refused it and I don't know why she's afraid of allowing the wedding to hold.I know Kieran must have told her something and that's the reason why she's objecting. That bastard is controlling and manipulative. But one thing is sure, I'll have to personally teach him a lesson. I'll make
CHAPTER FOURTEEN LUNA POV It's like I've been stabbed in the back. Kieran, of all people, is the one who tried to kill me. This is painful, and I now believe that it's not the stab in the back that kills, but when you turn around to see who's holding the knife. I know something was definitely wrong as at when I regained consciousness and discovered that Kieran was the one who'd saved me. Was that his plan? To make me feel like he truly cares for me? Or maybe he did all that so I'd fall for him. But even now, Kieran hasn't told me he has feelings for me. What does he really want from me? I know his plan isn't good because if he truly loves me, he wouldn't have thought of hurting me as a way to make me fall for him. Something's definitely wrong here.I didn't want any more explanations from him, as he's obviously going to tell me another lie. I screamed at him, and he walked out of the room. I don't want to ever see his face again. He's nothing but a betrayer. Now I know he got what h
