Chapter Twenty Five

Jared’s POV

I laid on the alphas sofa my arm over my face. I could hear Storm…my luna weeping until she could weep no more. Diego asked me to take care of her and the boys and I would do just that. But until the boys were old enough I had to take over as acting alpha…I would never be the alpha Diego was but I would do what it took to make sure this pack ran smoothly. I would make sure we would get him back. One way or another. No matter how long it took.

‘Get out of your head.’ My wolf Zeus told me. ‘We need to make sure our Luna is fed. She has damn near lost her mate. She will need us to lean on.’

I nodded and sat up going to the kitchen making something small. She would need to eat and I know she didn’t have the energy but she would need to pump as well so I could feed the boys when they woke. I threw something together and walked back to the room. Her breaths were slow and quiet, she had fallen asleep. I sat the tray I was holding down on a table and softly touched her shoulder.
