There she was laughing with that idiot. Did she know what time it was? It was nearly after midnight. A girl like her shouldn’t be out here laughing with guys she barely knows.

I had to give Evyn applause. This was her second date of the night consecutively. She didn’t look happy on either date. Her games were eating her up inside. She was on her last life. I could feel it.

I’d been stalking her well enough to know she was with Neel now. She didn’t like him driving her home. She preferred to take the bus since her car had an engine problem.

I’d sat in the dark outside a small Italian-themed restaurant watching two other guys touch, talk and kiss my woman. The woman who was meant to be mine!

I messed things up, and now I can’t get her out of my head.

I blamed all this on my wolf. Evyn wasn’t our type. She was too good for me. She was loyal and kind. She didn’t know the darkness of fame and the sacrifices that came with being at the top.
