Annabel’s Pov.

“Wow, Miss! You were really on fire just now! I can’t believe you were able to make the butler tongue-tied.” Mira squeaked excitedly after the last set of servants had left the both of us alone.

“You should have seen the look on his face when you talked about reporting him to the Master, miss! He looked like the heavens were about to descend on him I doubt I have ever seen him that much scared since I was employed here” she said laughing loudly.

“I wasn’t too harsh, right? I hope he doesn’t hate me now though..” I said sadly. The feeling of regret washing over me as I realized that I might have embarrassed him in the presence of the other servants.

Mira’s happiness added to her loud voice of unneeded praises was making me feel twice as bad, I felt like hitting myself multiple times for being so petty and acting like someone I am not, not to talk of the fact that I am now sipping awkwardly on a wine that even my life cannot buy!
