LOGIN~Third person POV~
The sunlight drifting from the window woke Nyro up the next morning. Calyxia was still fast asleep beside him on the bed.
He groaned tiredly, wondering why Ivy hadn't woken him up earlier.
He put on his slippers and went to the dining table for a quick breakfast before work. To his greatest shock, there was nothing served. The table and cutlery sat bare and the house felt empty.
Nyro almost tumbled on the broken figurine on the marble, he must have bumped into it on his way home last night.
Everywhere was untidy and unkempt, paper bags, liquor bottles, and cartons of sushi and Chinese takeout littered the sofa.
This was odd.
And he was going to make Ivy pay for this.
“Ivy!” He thundered. “Ivy!”
He waited for her to answer, to come running at his command, but he was met with silence. There was no response.
Was she still sulking? How pathetic was she really?
Last night was Calyxia's birthday and the event was at Golden Tulip Restaurant. It was a blast, he'd had a lot to drink and could barely remember anything that transpired afterwards. Heck, he couldn't even remember how he got back to the pack.
His head banged with a persistent headache. Groaning tiredly he walked to the kitchen to make a cup of coffee so that he could feel a little better.
Usually, Ivy would have a bowl of steaming soup by his bed on mornings he had a bad hangover, and she would press his temples with cold water if he fell sick along the line.
Where was she?
He could sniff Calyxia before she walked in. She looked just as hungover.
“Urgh,” she groaned. “My head feels like shit.”
“Me too,” he said, placing a kiss on her lips.
“I'll just go have breakfast now.” She smiled at him. “Ivy is an absolute mess but she's good at one thing. Whipping up a good meal.”
“Except today, she didn't,” Nyro said.
“What!” Calyxia exclaimed. “Why? How? That's so unlike her.”
“She must still be sulking about last night.” Nyro shrugged. “Come to think of it, was she even at the party?”
“I don't know, I was too drunk to notice,” Calyxia responded, her face colored in irritation. “I'm so hungry, are you not going to do anything about that?”
“Of course,” Nyro said, eager to please Calyxia. “I'm going to give her a beating that'll send her back to the hospital.”
Calyxia smiled, satisfied.
Nyro, armed with a whip, stormed toward Ivy's room. With each step closer, fury rose in his chest.
“Ivy, you're testing me.” He flung the door open but to his perplexity, there was no Ivy.
Oddly, the room looked stripped of life. Something was wrong here. He walked into her closet, which was empty save for a few shirts. Her collection of bags, gold, everything he bought for her to show off with during council balls… they were all gone.
Calyxia, whom he hadn't noticed, followed him in gasping. “What's going on here? Did this bitch sell all her stuff?”
Where was Ivy? That was the main question. Nyro didn't know.
This had never happened before.
For a fleeting moment, worry etched across his features, but soon his jaw tightened. He was pissed.
*Dravo, come to my quarters this instant!* He mindlinked his beta.
In a few minutes, Dravo walked in looking confused.
“Where is my mate?” Nyro asked, sparing an exchange of pleasantries.
Dravo looked around the room, as if expecting her to appear from one of the corners. “I'm not sure, Alpha.”
“You're my Beta. It's your responsibility to be certain about the whereabouts of every member of this pack!”
Dravo scrunched his brow in concentration. “The last time I saw her, she was with a few boxes. When I asked her where she was travelling to, she said she was only going to the Golden Tulip Restaurant for Calyxia's birthday.”
Calyxia scoffed. “My birthday? She wasn't even there. Nyro, that bitch is definitely cheating on you.”
Something fishy was going on, and Nyro did not like it. “I'll head down to Golden Tulip, maybe she's still waiting there. If I find out she's hooking up with some man there, I'll kill them both.”
Blinded by rage, Nyro grasped his keys and headed to his garage, Calyxia and Dravo following closely behind.
All through the ride, Nyro kept cussing under his breath. “I'm going to deal with that bitch.”
His car screeched to a stop at the restaurant and he headed directly to the reception. He met a young waitress.
“Good morning, sir.” She greeted, meekly.
“Save your greetings. I'm looking for my wife,” Nyro said impatiently. “She's petite, tall, fair-skinned and brunette. Did you by any chance see her at the party last night?”
“Oh, you must be Mr Nyro Grimvale.” The girl retrieved an envelope from the back. “Ms Ivy asked me to give this to you… and she said to tell you that she's no longer your wife.”
A nerve ticked in Nyro's jaw as he snatched the envelope from the waitress.
This must be an April Fool's prank in June.
“I wanted to give you last night, but you seemed drun-”
“Shut up!” Nyro silenced her as he tore the envelope open.
‘MATING TERMINATION/ DIVORCE AGREEMENT’ were the words written in bold print at the top of the document. But what shocked him the most was his very own signature at the bottom.
He laughed bitterly. What was happening?
A letter fell from the document too. It was short.
“Dear Ex-Husband, this is my last gift to you. Freedom to be with your whore. But I assure you, this will not be the end. For every shed tear and every hair on my daughters’ heads, you will pay for it with your blood.”
Nyro's ears rang in disbelief.
Calyxia was looking over his shoulder. “Wh… What's that?”
His chest rose rapidly with anger. A loud growl erupted from him before he could stop himself.
“Find her,” He said to a terrified Draco. “Or I'll have your head.”
“Yes, Alpha.” Dravo scurried out of the restaurant.
Nyro pulled out his cellphone and dialled her number.
The call was answered on the first ring.
But not by Ivy.
No. By the last person he expected to be alive.
The person he watched fall to his death.
“Hello, brother.” His voice was like steel. “Did you miss me?”

~Ivy's POV~I didn't have to think it through. Not after all I heard from Calyxia.“Yes. I agree,” I said weakly.I didn't know him, but I couldn't care less. He wanted to save me and that was all that mattered. And as for Calyxia and Nyro?I'd make them pay.Even if it was the last thing I did.“Okay,” Skarr said. “Pack your things. Get him to sign a divorce and call me. I'll have my men on standby.”The call ended. The problem now was how to get a divorce. Nyro would rather kill me than let me go.The door to the dungeon opened and a guard barged in and grabbed me by my arm.“Where are you taking me?” I demanded.“Alpha Nyro calls for you.” We reached Nyro's office. He was there with Calyxia.“Kneel and beg her.” These were the first words Nyro said to me.“Over. My. Dead. Body.” I spat out.Calyxia stroked Nyro's chin. “Don't worry babe. I've forgiven her already. I just want everyone to be happy.”“Are you sure?” Nyro asked her.She nodded sweetly.Nyro turned back to me. “You se
~Ivy's POV~The music from the ball wafted through my windows, a soft jazz melody. A contrast to my tumultuous life.I'd worn the dress, but no makeup and no smile. I walked out of my room. My legs were wobbly because I wasn't used to wearing heels.I met Nyro already waiting by the door of our home, Calyxia in his arms. She looked stunning. She wore a shiny red dress to match her lips, gold jewellery glittering around her neck, her skin pristine, porcelain… but no makeup could hide the evil beneath her eyes.“You look absolutely gorgeous, Ivy.” She smirked, her eyes glistening mischievously. Nyro barely looked at me. “Come on, let's go. We'll be late,” he snapped, irritated. We arrived at the ball, and the hall was packed with Elite werewolves.I had to walk in with Nyro, and I could tell that this displeased Calyxia. She had been sulking all through the ride. She clearly didn't want me here, but quite frankly, I didn't want me here either. We took the ceremonial bow as Alpha and L
~Ivy's POV~The door to Nyro's room flung open and he walked out, his stride sharp and defined. Calyxia walked out after him wearing nothing but chemise nightwear.Nyro looked from my ashen expression to the shards of glass scattered across the floor. My expression must have told him before he asked—I'd overheard them. What I didn't expect was the sting of a slap across my cheeks that sent me jolting backwards. I slipped on the spilled water and landed on the ground with a loud thud. The snap of a bone sent pain jolting up my ankle.“You bitch!” Nyro spat. “Eavesdropping on our conversation like a common harlot.”Harlot? What irony… The only harlot here was Calyxia. My hands grazed my cheeks, which I was sure were red and swollen now. “Ivy, come on now,” Calyxia said slyly. “You should know better than to listen in on our conversation. You're not a child.”Child…“She's pregnant, Nyro?” I asked, my voice laced with bitterness. “Calyxia is pregnant with your child?”Calyxia smiled, sa
~Ivy's POV~I found out my mate was cheating on me with my stepmother the day he sacrificed my twin daughters to save her.We had a rogue attack and I was knocked unconscious by one of the warrior rogues. When I came to, the first sight I saw was the corpse of my twin pups lying at my feet while my mate caressed his mistress.Calyxia.My ears rang as I shook in disbelief. My pups were covered in a pool of blood. It was so gruesome that I bent my head and threw up, green bile rising in my throat.Calyxia walked up to me, and a smirk played across her lips. “Oh, poor thing, I'm so sorry for your loss.”I stared at my mate, Nyro. He looked unbothered to say the least. “Oh, don't be so dramatic, Ivy,” he rolled his eyes, nonchalantly. “They're just pups. You’ll get another one soon.”I thought I'd die, cry, shout, gouge my eyes out till there was nothing left in me, but I didn't. I couldn't.My voice caught in my throat and my breath hitched. My hands trembled, but still, no words came ou
