Grandpa

Alphonse held one child at each hand Alec on his right and Lilian on his left. The trio walked around the ground's of the Emerald Garden. He showed the children the fonds and they watched as the gardener fed the fish. 

"Does the Young Miss and Young Master want to try?" The garderner offered them some fish food. The two children happily agreed and held out their small hands. Each got a little bit of fish food and they scattered it and when the fish huddled infront of them. They smiled observing the shiny fishes eating. 

After a few minutes Alphonse looked at his watch and signaled for the kids. "Come on it's my turn to feed you two munchkins" He explained leading them to the dining room. 

But before they could reach the entrance to the main house. They stopped as a car approach them. Slowly the door opened and CEO Monroe went down the car. 

CEO Monroe looked at the trio holding hands and smiled. The twins were now cleaned and wearing the clothes he bought. He couldn't but observe how similar the three were now. The twin's eyes and 80% of their facial features were similar to Alphonse.

"Have you had dinner yet?" CEO Monroe asked "Nope father we were just about to go to the dining hall" his son answered him. 

"Grandpa why don't you join us?" Lilian asked letting go of her father's hand and taking her grandfather's hand. 

CEO Monroe smiled as he happily followed the little girl. The delicious aroma of the food welcomed them as they arrived at the dining hall. 

The twins stopped when they reach the double doors of the dining hall. The dining hall had a rustic and homey fill to it. In the middle of the room was a dark wood 10 seater table. The chairs were mix of wood and upholstered chairs.  

The room had 3 big windows with the white curtains pulled back and you could see the shining moon. 

The twins were guided and were seated beside Alphonse. 

Lilian and Alec salivated as people served the dishes. They were all kinds of dishes infront of them from colorful vegetable stir fried, some steamed fish, sweet chili chicken, and some chicken broth. 

Lilian felt her stomach growling at the sight of the food. She felt a little headache as she suddenly remembered the memories of Lilian for the past few days. 

For what she recalled from the novel old Madam Sato hated the bastard her daughter gave birth too. They were seen as bastards and the old Madam couldn't get rid of them fast enough. From what the memory she recalled just now they were locked up in the attic and were only given day old bread and water for the last few days. 

Lilian felt herself crying as she took a bite of some of the chicken and vegetables. Her taste buds were singing as she tasted the saltiness and sweetness of the dish. She took her time and slowly ate while Alec was like a cute squirrel who couldn't eat fast enough. 

Alphonse looked at the two with amusement. Alec's little cheeks were full and you couldn't help but be reminded of a squirrel and Lilian's one hand was on her cheek as the other held chopstick that seems to never stop moving. He chuckled and helped them by putting some food in their plates. 

CEO Monroe was observing the scene and he started to reminiscene when his two sons were children. 'How time flies has it been 5 years since they sat together?' he thought to himself. Sadly his eldest and youngest sons for the past 6 years have been estranged. They haven't enjoyed a family dinner in a long time. He observed the twins hoping they would be the answer to finally reunite the brothers. He could just hope and pray. 

"Cough.. cough...cough" He was awaken from his thoughts as Alec started to cough he immediately offered the boy water. 

"Eat slowly Alec" Alphonse patted the boy gently. Little Alec blushed as all eyes were on him. After gulping down the glass of water he continued to eat now a little bit more slowly. Alec felt a little bashful as he remembered what grandma Wu would always remind him to eat slowly. But he always forget because he loves to eat. Other than his sister Alec favorite thing in this world was food. 

Meanwhile CEO Monroe observed the trio  "Where will the kid's sleep tonight?" he asked his son. "I already asked Auntie Mai to prepare the rooms beside me Father" Alphonse answered not taking his eyes off the children. 

"Why don't you let them sleep with you tonight Alphonse? Those beds are to high! It's common for children to roll in there sleep, I don't think it would be safe for them." CEO Monroe stated worried as he remembered how many times he would wake up to hear his children had fallen from their beds. 

"Tomorrow I will bring the kids shopping" CEO Monroe announced putting some meat on the kid's plate. Alec gave his grandpa a smile and ate the big piece of meat happily. 

"Thank you Father I need to meet with Chairman Lu tomorrow and the day after I would start my leave of absence" Alphonse stated as he placed some chicken on Alec plate not letting his Father beat him. 

"Alright then it is set, Lilian Alec tomorrow I will return after lunch then we will go to the mall and this grandpa will buy you new stuff for your rooms." CEO Monroe excitedly announced. 

"Auntie Mai when Manuel returns tell him to list down the things needed in the West wing for the twin's bedrooms. Also do you remember the designer who renovated the boys bedroom years ago to come again for the twins."  CEO Monroe continued. 

Meanwhile as the adult's planned for tomorrow's activities. Lilian patted her tummy as she finished the last bit of her rice. She was so full and her tummy felt like it was going to burst. Beside her Alec also patted his tummy with a happy expression. 

Alphonse chuckled as he looked at the twins patting there tummy like little piggies. "Why don't we take a walk?" He stood up and offered the kids a hand. After they excused themselves from their grandfather who was busy listing down things for their shopping trip tomorrow. 

The kids took each of Alphonse hands and followed him. He took the kids through a tour of the main house. He showed them the different rooms and he introduced them to the different staff. The newly arrived Butler Manuel, the father of Alphonse's secretary, the housekeeper Auntie Mai, and the other staffs. 

After 45 minutes of touring they returned to the bedroom and rested. 

They watched a little bit of TV as Alphonse finished some work. At around 9pm Auntie Mai brought the twins some milk and after drinking it they coaxed the two to sleep. 

As the two slept Alphonse watched them. Alec on his left and Lilian on his right. He went through the day's event in his mind. The memories, his death, and the children's arrival. He stared at the pendant that his father handed to him after dinner in his hands as he tried to remember what happened 6 years ago. 

He vaguely recalled the trip and how drunk he was. He usually doesn't drink but that night he still remembered the scene he saw. The love of his life kissing his younger brother. He felt betrayed and hurt he tried to drown his sorrow with alcohol. When he woke up the next morning he was in his bedroom and he remembered nothing that happened that night.

He was deep in thought when he suddenly felt a kick and looked beside him where Lilian had turned sidewards her feet now kicking his side. 

After repositioning the girl he felt the other one at his side move as well. After several attemps of changing their position he gave up because after a few moments they would change positions again. He had his daughter's feet at his tummy and his son's hands around his arms hugging him. 

Alphonse stared at the faces of the twins. He did see many similarity between him and the twins. Their eyes, opal face, nose, and even the dimple in their cheeks were the same. 

He looked at them and tried to see if they took anything from Yui Sato. He remembered her, she was a quiet girl who was satisfied just seating on the side reading a good book.

 

He remembered that Yui had a crush on his brother since they were kids. She didn't act on it but you can see how she looked at him. How sad that because of her admiration for his brother ruined her life.

He needed to look more into what happened to Yui Sato and him that night tomorrow for now he felt warm as two children snuggled against him.
