Chapter 20 THE CONDITION

A few months later, Naneth took a vacation in the province for at least seven days. She didn’t call her auntie Lora to surprise her, but she was the one who was surprised during her vacation in the province.

“Can you help me mom to carry the laundry because my stomach is already heavy?” Said, Lira.

“Yes, wait a minute, you probably won’t leave. Why are you in a hurry?”

That’s what Naneth heard as she approached her auntie’s house.

She knocked on the door, and Lira opened it. Naneth was surprised because Lira’s stomach was big. She was pregnant; she wondered who the father was. They stared at each other, and Lira was also surprised when she saw Naneth.

“Naneth?” said Lira. “Lira?” Naneth said.

“Lira, who is that?”

“Ah! Mom, it’s Naneth.”

“Auntie Lora, how are you?” smiling Naneth said.

“Naneth! Is that you? Oops
