DIANA'S POV The third floor was demarcated into two sections, one was a huge apartment belonging to the King and the other was made into different smaller apartments which were the King's personal staff quarters. While the staff quarters were just like a small self-contained room, The king's apartment was another house on its own with two living rooms, a bedroom, bathroom, dining room, and so on within the apartment. He could live his daily life without stepping out of the apartment if not that he was a king, a public figure who is always needed at all times. Once I was shown to my apartment, I decided to report my resumption of duty to the King so I went to his apartment. The maids guarding the first living room in the king's apartment were about to announce my presence when we saw Ava angrily coming out of the King's room and the King chasing after her. From the look of things, they were having a heated argument. "Ava, calm down. I will explain everything to you later, just le
NICHOLAS POV Diana looked up when she finally seemed to have an answer. "I'm sorry your highness, but is this some kind of an interview?" She asked, trying to hide her anger underneath her gritted teeth. "That's why it's better to be sincere from the start..." Louis was still talking when I interrupted him. "You're noisy." I scolded before I realized I had complicated things. "I'm sorry for disturbing you, your highness. I will take my leave now." Diana replied boldly as she stood up from where she was seated, bowed politely, and left the room without me being able to stop her. "Look what you caused." I scolded once again but Louis did not reply. He kept mute like he wasn't there, to begin with. I stood up from the couch and went into the bedroom. I tried calling Ava once more but her phone was still switched off so I just decided to forget about the two annoying ladies in my life and go to bed but it wasn't so easy especially when dealing with insomnia. DIANA'S POV
AVA'S POV While on my way from the palace gate to the main building, I noticed some maids gathered around the entrance of the staff apartment and I decided to inquire about the reason for their gathering. "What's going on here?" I asked randomly and as soon as they saw me, they bowed respectfully before one of them answered. "Nothing, my Lady. We were only assigned to renovate an empty room before it is allocated to the occupant." I knew exactly who's room they were talking about since it was only Renata that had been promoted so unexpectedly but I still decided to ask. "Renata Jose's former room?" I asked and without hesitation, they nodded. I turned around to leave but then I decided to take a look around where such a lowlife was coming from. I asked for her room and a maid showed me to it. Old passwords are automatically removed from the system once it's been confirmed that the previous owner no longer occupies the room and at that moment, the room was unlocked. I went int
DIANA'S POV His average lips caressed my right earlobe down to my cheek and neck before he held me by my arms and turned me around to face him, his mouth giving off a sweet scent of mixed cinnamon, marshmallow, and grape flavor which was as a result of the red wine he drank. Being so close to him reminded me of my past when he killed my father. I tried to compose myself so I could achieve my plans but I didn't realize it when I began to distance myself from him. Nevertheless, he didn't give up as he moved closer to me and held my waist, pinning me closer to his bulgy body. He bent me a little giving support to me with his hand on my back and his eyes lost in mine, sending an erotic rush through me. At first, he traced his tongue gently on my lips until I gave in to him by opening my mouth wide enough for his tongue and upper lip to slip in. He grabbed my lower lip and bit it gently without me feeling any pain, rather making me want him more and more. At first, I let him do all
NICHOLAS POV I looked back and met Diana's eyes shut. It looks like it finally dawned on her that running away is not an option. Once she opened them again, we locked eyes again because I didn't stop staring at her. She blinked her eyes a few more times and she finally parted her lips to speak. "I don't want to die yet. Please don't kill me." She begged and a drop of tear fell from her eye down her cheek. Sharp pain seared through my heart as I watched her beg so pitifully. It's all my fault. You might have still been the proud princess of Sweden if I wasn't so blinded by revenge just like you are now. I released her arms and raised from the bed, now sitting beside her as she was still laying with her hands raised as I had left them as if she was thunderstruck. "Why did you want to kill me?" I asked, feigning ignorance as I hoped she might willingly want to tell me her true identity. "I-I...I'm sorry. I..." "Just answer my questions. Don't apologize and don't try to run awa
DIANA'S POV My vision wasn't so clear when I opened my eyes but I could tell I wasn't in the staff quarters because of the huge size and beautification of the room. I shifted my gaze from one corner of the room to another until it fell on the shirtless King dozing off on the sofa by the center table and then I remembered all that had happened. I checked the clock and saw that the time was 1 am. I stood up from the bed and tip-toed to where the King was seated, by now, my vision was clear. I sat next to him and wondered why he was being so nice to me, then I remembered, this isn't my face, he is being so nice to me because this is Renata's face. 'Are you finally in love now? Did you fall in love with Renata after also killing her parents?' I wondered within myself. For the first time since I entered this body, I felt grateful for making that decision. Who knows how long he's been meaning to have her. Though I hated him, I still couldn't help myself from admiring his great physiq
NICHOLAS POV I was relieved to finally have my way but I wasn't so happy because I felt like I was pushing her. I saw the pain in her eyes when I talked about the murders she committed but what baffles me more is why she had to go to that extent when she barely drinks enough blood. "You scared me today." I sighed, my voice unveiling the fear I felt when she passed out. "I'm...sorry! I didn't mean to attack you unaware. My anger got better..." "I'm not talking about that. You passed out like that, I was really scared. I thought something was wrong with the blood I fed you." I explained and I could tell how surprised she was by the worry on my face but she'd obviously think I'm faking it. "Do you always pass out like that? You just took a sip and you're okay, it's kinda weird." I added, hoping she'd explain what happened to me. "It was weird because I'm weird. My whole existence is weird. Now that you own me, you're going to have to get used to my being weird." She yelled and
NICHOLAS POV I pretended to have slept off before she returned from the bathroom so that she could sleep peacefully without worrying about my presence. I knew something was definitely off. When the doctor arrived earlier, he checked her pulse and also checked her heartbeat and then he confirmed to me that she was just sleeping. I didn't believe him so I checked her pulse and heartbeat again and realized that they were back to normal. I know what I saw and felt. I have lived with vampires before and once their urge for blood arose, they drank it to the fullest but Diana was different, just a sip and she passed out, the next thing she was alright. I've never witnessed this in any Vampire. Another problem is the murders. If she drinks such a tiny amount of blood, then how come those corpses have all their blood sucked out? At this rate, only one person's blood is enough for her to live her entire life but why kill three in just five days? Something is definitely off and I need
