Chapter Four.
“And so she said that she wanted to go and stay with my mother, and you know I would just do ANYTHING for my baby girl. I don’t see why she is so attached to mother, I mean, I’m my mother’s daughter and I’m not even attached to her in anyway. Delilah on the other hand is. Way too much.”
Wendy’s voice rang on and on in the background as she fingered some accessories in the large shopping building.
“Oh really, so what happened next?” Natalia sounds like she has heard one too many of Wendy’s stories. If Wendy had noticed, she did not make a comment about it, but continued to speak, unabashed.
“Then I said yes, of course. And the next thing she asks is if ‘daddy would be there’, like, am I not good enough for you, kid?”
“You know that that was a perfectly normal question coming from her, Wendy.” Natalia says with a shake of her head.
“No. No I do not. Her father is someone I can not be with, so all she has and needs is me.” Wendy spits out.
Natalia nods as she places a dress still on its hanger in front of her body, looking at herself in the mirror. “I don’t know, Wendy. You still haven’t told me who Delilah’s father is.”
Neither of them says anything for a few minutes, and the only sounds that can be heard are from other shoppers in the background.“Wendy?” Natalia turns to look at Wendy, wondering if her statement had broken her.
“I don’t want to talk about him, ‘Talia. He’s in my past, at least not yet, I don’t.” Wendy rolls her eyes as she walks to a section of the market.
“Okay.” Natalia’s voice does not register any emotion.
“Anyway, what about you and Noah? I would definitely not be surprised if you got knocked up soon.” Wendy’s voice carries a smile in it, and Natalia’s cheeks heats up.
“What?” She asks in an embarrassed whisper.
“I saw everything, I was there. There was so much tension in your house, and it felt like I was the one blocking your chemistry. That’s why I had to leave.” A giggle elicits from Wendy as she pulls Natalie with her.
“If you ever get babies, I want to be the godmother. Naturally, of course.”
Natalia wanted to remind her friend that she was the one who had made her leave as she could not take a hint. She also wanted to tell Wendy that Noah was not interested in having children, and would do whatever to not have one.
But if Wendy could keep the identity of Delilah’s father a secret from her, then surely, she could keep embarrassing details about her marital life to herself as well.
“Of course. If I ever have children, you would be their godmother.” Natalia says.
“But Wendy, where in the world are you dragging me to?” Natalia asks with a degree of urgency as she narrowly escapes high fiving another shopper with her face as her legs move in the direction Wendy pulls her in.
“You would see, do not worry.” Wendy says and she continues to move quickly.
Natalia felt even more worried after Wendy said that. Who does not worry when they are specifically asked not to anyway?
When she stopped, Natalia face palmed herself as she looked at the place her friend was so excited for them to go to.
“Really? The undergarments section?” Natalia says loudly, getting the attention of some people around them.
“You need to have something new for every single time you spend your time together alone with Noah.” She winks and the people who were looking at me immediately turn their head to the other side.
Natalie groans and gives a shake of her head and starts to walk away. “I do not like this, I’m leaving.”
Wendy sighs. “Okay, fine. Just wait, let me get some of my own things then.”
Wendy makes her way into the women undergarments section, and Natalia waits. In not more than five minutes, Wendy returns with a bag of the wears, and Natalia face palms herself once more.
“But you shop for underwear, don’t you?” Wendy asks as she chews a piece of gum.
“I do, but that is only when I’m alone. Besides, if I go with you, I am pretty sure that you would make me get one of those devil cosplay underwear things.” Natalia scoffs.
Wendy lets out a loud laugh. “My best friend is such a prude! And it’s ‘Luciferer’.” She says with a mock foreign accent making Natalia to roll her eyes in response.
-
Natalia lets herself into her home and meets Noah reading in his study. She leans into his sitting figure to give him a small hug.
“Hi honey, you look great.” She says to Noah. Noah looks up at her and grins.
“Did you have a good day out today?” He asks. Natalia nods.
“Yes, I bought some scarves and matching gowns. They are very beautiful. Would you like to see them?” She asks, hoping he would agree.
“I would, but not yet. You will show me later, wouldn’t you?”
“Why, of course. How is your work going?” Natalia asks, peering at his computer screen. Noah shrugs.
“A few issues with a client’s case, but it would be done with soon enough, it’s okay. Thank you dear.” He looked at Natalia and leaned back.
“I really do hope that you were not disturbed or placed in some form of discomfort earlier. Wouldn’t want my beautiful wife to be bothered with anything.”
Natalia laughed, holding her cheeks. “You are so caring. It’s all good, really.”
Noah looks at his wife from head to toe in an appraising manner. He cocks his head to the side. “You look very beautiful.” He says gently.
Natalia looks down and plays with her hands, while a smile plays on her lips. Everything had gone well so far, and she hoped that it would get better from there.
Noah stands abruptly, making Natalia look up.
“Are you leaving now?” She questions with a frown. Noah shakes his head with a sigh.
“Of course not. I have something to give to you. I’m just going to get it, alright?” Natalia’s eyes widen and she giggled.
“Alright.”
She begins to wonder what Noah might have got for her as soon as he leaves.
Was it a pet? She knew that she had always pestered him for children and for a pet. Anything to fill the silence, and for her to be busy with. Anything to make their home a bit more lively.
But as usual, Noah had refused. He had insisted on them not having children because he felt that they were of no use to any of them. He had said that all kids do was cry and mess the place up, and then bringing them up to act with dignified manners would also be a bit too difficult too, and the stress was not worth it.
He had also said no to a pet because he did not want any animal leaving fur all over the house, or destroying his furniture and beddings with scratches and bite marks. And he was not prepared for the responsibility of cleaning their messes up, especially not in the house.
Natalia could hear Noah’s footsteps and then she put on her most pleasant expression, hoping that she would really love whatever it was that he had decided to gift her.
“Sorry that I kept you waiting, my love.” Noah says as he hands a box to his wife, then takes a seat, watching her eagerly.
“Oh wow, thank you!” She accepts the small box happily and opens the wrapping material to see another small box. A bracelet.
Noah had gifted her a Wartier love bracelet.
Natalia closes her eyes and takes in deep breaths, not wanting to say anything that might cause an argument to start.
It was an extravagant thing to do, in her opinion. A waste of resources. All that money spent on a piece of jewelry, no matter how beautiful was unacceptable for her.
“Do you like it?” Noah asks her, using his eyes to search through her face.
“Honey, I’m so grateful, I really am.” She begins. “It is really sweet that you took your time out to get something for me because you felt that I would love it, and I’m thankful.”
“So you like it then, that’s settled.” Noah runs his fingers through his hair.
“But, isn’t this a little bit too expensive for a gift?” She asks, making Noah to turn around and raise his brows.
“I’m sorry, I do not think I heard you properly. What did you just say?”
Natalia gulped. “No, I mean that this must have cost a few thousand dollars. That is a lot of money.” She shakes her head.
“And money is not an issue to us. We have lots of it. The only issue we have here is your incessant complaints and whining.” Noah says curtly, bruising Natalia’s feelings.
“No, but I don’t know, I just don’t think spending so much is the right thing to do.” She says, looking down at her shoes.
“That is not a valid argument, Natalia.” He turns around on his chair and goes to where she sat, placing a hand on her shoulder, holding it in a grip.
“If you did not like the gift, you could have just come out and told me so. That would have been much better than putting on a goody two shoes act, trust me, mother Theresa.” There is an edge to his voice and Natalia notices.
She grabs him by the arm and softens her look. “I’m sorry for being so dramatic. I actually love the gift, honestly. Thank you very much, my love.” She whispers.
“Only the best things for my wife. Only the best.” Noah nods and pulls her up into his arms, wrapping her in a hug and playing with her hair.
“Your hair smells so nice. Are you sure that you went shopping, and not to a spa or to the hair stylist’s?” He asks, teasing her and she laughs.
One of Noah’s hands move from her waist up to the middle of her back, where the zipper of her dress was and he begins to move the zipper downwards.
“Noah!” Natalia whispers . “We are in your study.”
“I know.” Noah presses his lips to her head and Natalia felt him smirk into her skin.
“We have a bedroom, don’t you know?” She asks.
“There’s a sofa here, my tiny wife.” Noah says as he completely unzips her dress, causing the dress to move downwards, revealing a white shoulder.
“And still,” He continues. “this house belongs to me. Nobody is going to walk on in and see us, and accuse us of indecent behavior. Stop being such a prude, Natalia.”
Prude. The word registers itself in Natalia’s head. She had been called that earlier today by Wendy. Now Noah too.
“I am not a prude, my attractive husband.” She says as she drags the waistband of his trousers and pulls him even closer to herself.
Noah chuckles at her act to prove herself and then he uses a hand to caress her soft neck gently as he claims her lips as his, and when Natalia suddenly elicits a tiny moan, he goes wild and pulls at her dress with the urgency of a savage, causing it to rip.
The sound of tearing fabric does not faze Noah in the least as he grabs his wife and lifts her, wrapping her legs around his person and begins to work on her neck, sucking and tugging at it with her teeth.
Then he gently throws her onto the sofa, working on his own dress suit, and taking his clothing off one after the other before he joins her on the sofa.
Chapter Fifty Nine.Delilah stepped out of her father’s car, wondering if it was just another dream, or if she was in fact, back home again.Everything looked the same, yet different, and she could not forget how she had screamed sometimes at night.Poor Dennis had bagged himself a lot of scratches and deep cuts, but as far as that went, he was alright. “Mom!” Delilah ran. “I’ve missed you so much.” “You saw me yesterday, honey.” Natalia chuckled. “I didn’t see you in this house, so I guess that that counts.” Delilah smiled at her. “And aunt Demarr? Are you still hearing from her?” “Yes, she’s getting married soon. Postponed it so that you could be in attendance.” Natalia said, and Delilah squeezed her hands in excitement. “My favourite girls are happy. This is wonderful.” Piero said as he made his way inside. “I hope you’re not gossiping about me.” Natalia gave him the side eye. “Bold of you to think that we’re doing that. We’re talking about Demarr!” She looked back at D
Chapter Fifty Eight. “I believe that it would be better if we marked them off as terrorists, instead of demons.” The bald man sitting in front of Delilah said.Delilah looked at the man, her mouth open in disbelief. “You can’t do that. Let them know the truth. Those were demons, you saw the videos, you’ve seen their heads. What more do you need to believe me?” Delilah asked him.Mr Archibald, the bald man sitting in front of her was a government representative. He pushed his glasses farther up the bridge of his nose and sighed. “You are not getting the point here, Miss D’Ricci. It is not that I do not believe you, but we don’t want to cause panic amongst the citizens. Some of them might even decide to leave altogether. It’s a fifty fifty chance that this would go exceptionally terribly or exceptionally good.” Mr Archibald said. “As usual. This is just due to selfishness. Why else would you want to do something for anyone?” Delilah hit her hands in the table. “You have to und
Chapter Fifty Seven. “I am very worried about her.” Natalia said in a small voice as Piero went down the stairs with her in his hands. “What? You’re worried about Delilah? Did you see how scary our baby girl looked?” Piero asked with a small chuckle. “I’m very sure she can handle anything.”They made their way out and Piero helped Natalia jump over the fence, and then the priest. “Why are we using this place?” She asked. “It’s faster if you know the forest. Driving from there to our house would take well over an hour. I can get us out if this forest in less than ten minutes and have you home ten minutes later too.” Natalia nodded as Piero spoke. “Surely, you will come back to look for her?” Natalia asked her husband. “Yes, of course. How has your pregnancy been? I hope that they didn’t do anything to you.” Piero was frowning. “As if Delilah would ever let that happen. She had been doing everything for me before now.” Natalia sighed and ducked as a branch almost hit her f
Chapter Fifty Six.Delilah had eventually dropped Dennis after showing him the way. She had told him to come to the palace with priests. As many as he could when she told him to. “Everything is happening way too fast.” Delilah whispered to herself as she got ready for her lunch with Eriel. She got dressed up in her evening gown and decided to go just like that. “Baby, you look wonderful!” Eriel said and she grinned. His usual compliments aside, she had actually been looking very beautiful recently. It was almost as if she was changing. In front of her, Eriel was grinning like a boy who was about to get a soccer ball. She walked over to him and made sure to show some leg before setting herself down on him and grinding her waist like she had been doing it all her life. She was more in tone with herself and her sexuality, so as far as she was concerned her body knew exactly what she was doing. “What are you doing?” Eriel asked. “Shut up.” Delilah said and continued to move on h
Chapter Fifty Five. Delilah had started to become even more attracted to the twins and was seriously thinking about what Eriel had said. If what he had said was true, then she would choose to have the both of them, but only in her human form. She didn’t want to change or shift or anything. She walked into Eriel’s room and slammed the door shut. Eriel sat up immediately. He was wearing only shorts. Good. Delilah smirked like a cat who was going to get it. “Delilah?” Eriel asked. “Why are you looking at me like that?” Delilah strutted to him confidently and threw the covers off of him. “I’m very sure that we both know why, crown prince.” She stroked his chest and immediately, he joined his lips to hers, shivering as his mouth came in contact with Delilah’s. Delilah let her hands roam free around his neck, and the hard planes of his chest and back, and the beautiful contour of his face. She took off her shirt in haste and saw Eriel gulp. She didn’t need to ask, he liked what he
Chapter Fifty Four.Mrs Martins took her seat and looked out of the window. Her stomach was very big and round now. Then she turned back to look at Dennis and shook her head. The boy look stressed out, and she was aware of how close Dennis and Delilah were. "Yes, Mrs Martins?" Dennis called out to let the woman know that he was still there. "I didn't forget about you, love. Come here and take a seat." Mrs Martins said, gesturing to the chair on the other side of the table.Dennis obeyed and took his seat. He knew that he would be in trouble and have a good scolding, if not more for beating that boy up like that. But Dennis was not going to apologise, even if they threatened to expel him. He did the right thing for the sake of other girls that that lunatic might come across. What if she was being sold at this very point? He thought. Dennis had read stories of human traders— traffickers, organ harvesters and people who used humans as game. "Are you even listening to me?" Mrs Mart
