Millie's P.O.V.
We waited for what felt like an eternity to hear from the doctor. Then, finally, the doctor called his parents to tell them the news.
"How is he doing? Is he going to be okay?" His mom asked the doctor.
"He had some broken ribs and severe brain injury from the fall. I am afraid he is in a coma," the doctor said grimly.
No...I thought. He can't be in a coma. He needs to wake up right now!
His mom started crying while his father tried to comfort her. I sat there quietly, thinking about how unreal everything felt. I was angry at myself for not telling him how much I liked him last night. I should've made him stay with me longer. I should've kissed him until he was out of breath. Why did I let him leave? Why?
