At the police station in city A.

Since being brought here, Ivy has tried to explain many times that she is innocent. However, the police don't believe her and insist she confess her criminal behavior and plead guilty to one's actions. Eventually, Ivy, not wanting to stay at the police station any longer, demanded to know the specific accusations against her, and upon learning that the accuser was the man she had saved, she insisted the police call Ryan to speak with her. Initially, the police refused her request, citing that the accuser did not want to come forward.

Not giving up, Ivy accuses Ryan of raping her, and he is also possessing and using drugs. Ivy's accusations against Ryan have left the police stunned, but they also have doubts about their authenticity. To make her words more convincing, Ivy told the police in detail what happened this morning. Ivy believes that Ryan slandered her to get revenge because he felt offended by her humiliating him and threatened to denounce him.

"If my request is not met, I will not let this matter pass easily. I will make noise and challenge the police for lacking integrity and fairness," Ivy said with respect and determination.

As the nature of the incident grew increasingly serious, dealing with Ivy, someone with extensive legal knowledge, became cumbersome and exhausting. Eventually, the police complied with her request.

Utilizing their investigative skills, the police easily identified the person who had called to accuse Ivy. Although Ryan had been cautious in concealing his true identity, using only a pseudonym and a different phone to call the police instead of his personal one, the police still managed to trace him through the hotel's security cameras where Ivy was staying. The police determined that the man leaving Ivy's room early this morning was indeed Ryan.

At this moment, Ryan was at the airport, preparing to board his flight, when the police approached him.

"You're R, the one who called to report the girl renting room 202 at Hotel A for fraud and theft," the police said calmly.

Ryan was astonished when the police investigated who he was and came all the way here to find him. Feeling something amiss and unable to refute that firm assertion, Ryan had to admit it truthfully. He didn't want to commit further crimes of deceit or obstruct the police. Additionally, he was hopeful that the police were looking for him to deliver good news while returning his wallet and phone to him.

"That's right. What's the matter with finding me?" Ryan cautiously inquired: “Has that girl plead guilty yet?”

"Please come with us," the police requested, speaking quietly enough for Ryan to hear without drawing attention from those around.

"What are you arresting me for? What did I do wrong?" Ryan complained, bewildered. The situation unfolded completely differently from what he had expected.

"You need to come to the station with us to clarify everything," the police said patiently, expressing determination.

"What do you mean, clarify what?" Ryan asked irritably, suddenly finding himself the center of attention among the onlookers.

"The girl you accused has filed a report alleging that you committed the crimes of rape as well as possession and use of illegal substances," the police stated calmly. "We need your cooperation to investigate and clarify the matter."

Faced with the grave news, Ryan was in extreme shock.

"That's blatant slander. I'm innocent," Ryan denied the accusations. "That girl fabricated this to tarnish my honor and reputation."

Despite his attempts to explain, it was futile. The police informed him, "She claims to have evidence of your crimes. We need you to come with us to verify and assist in the investigation."

"That's impossible. She's definitely lying. I didn't..."

"Please cooperate," the police emphasized, feeling frustrated.

Ryan, despite his disbelief, found himself unable to resist the sternness of the police any longer. He also wanted to clear up Ivy's false accusations.

In the end, to put an end to this madness, Ryan reluctantly complied and followed the police.

Ryan was escorted into the room where Ivy was waiting. As the door opened, Ivy's weary and irritated demeanor immediately caught Ryan's attention. Simultaneously, Ivy's eyes widened in reaction to the door opening. Seeing Ryan, she immediately began teasing.

"Hello there. I didn't expect to see you again so soon. Honestly, I'd rather not lay eyes on your despicable, pathetic face until the day I die." Ivy waved her hand, forcing a fake smile to welcome Ryan.

"You wretched—"

Provoked by Ivy's taunts, Ryan couldn't contain his anger, impulsively shouting and lunging towards Ivy. However, the police accompanying Ryan intervened in time, preventing Ryan from attacking Ivy.

"Please remain calm," the police sternly requested.

"You dare accuse me of raping you. How audacious. Do you even know who I am?" Ryan growled angrily after being reminded by the police to control his actions.

"And what about you? Daring to falsely accuse me of fraud, of stealing from you," Ivy challenged back. "I'm just giving back what you've given me."

"What I said is the truth." Ryan defended his integrity firmly. "You set me up and stole my wallet and phone."

"According to your logic, then I'm telling the truth too," Ivy replied calmly. "You took advantage of me when I wasn't sober, indulging in perverse acts. I dare say you spiked my drink with stimulants."

"Shut up, stop lying," Ryan scolded angrily.

"What are you so angry about? Do you think you have the right to be mad at me?" Ivy replied sternly. "If you insist that I'm guilty, then present the evidence here. Otherwise, I won't overlook what you've done to me. Do you know the extent of the damage I've suffered because of your foolish actions?"

Faced with Ivy's steely and resolute demeanor, Ryan was unsure how to handle the situation. The reality was that he had no evidence to counter Ivy's accusations.

"And what about you? You accuse me of raping you and of possessing and using illegal substances. Where's your evidence?" Ryan turned to criticize, daring Ivy. "If you can't prove what you say is true, I swear I'll make you pay dearly."

"I'll see what you can do." Ivy arrogantly replied. "Unfortunately, your threats mean nothing to me."

"I'll make you cry and beg for my forgiveness," Ryan confidently declared, displaying seriousness. His words elicited a hearty laugh from Ivy, aggravating Ryan's irritation further as she disregarded his words.

"I'll wait." Ivy stopped laughing, teasing Ryan. "I hope you won't disappoint me."

"You wretch," Ryan growled in frustration, lunging towards Ivy. "Just wait."

"You scoundrel," Ivy retorted, standing up to face him. "If you have the courage to say it, then you have the ability to do it; don't make others laugh at you."

Both sides were brimming with hostility, glaring at each other as if they wanted to devour each other alive. The tension between them intensified.

Suddenly, a forceful clap echoed through the room, causing both Ivy and Ryan to startle.

"Both of you, please maintain order," the police said loudly, putting an end to the tension between the two sides. "This is a police station. Behave appropriately and act according to standards."

The atmosphere in the room eased as the police asserted control, bringing a temporary calm to the heated exchange.

Ryan and Ivy, not wanting to resist the police, remained silent and listened to instructions. Ivy adjusted her sitting posture, while Ryan was invited by the police to sit down on a chair, facing Ivy.

"Now, let's have a straightforward conversation," the police officer said firmly, beginning to moderate the discussion. "Firstly, both of you, please answer my questions."

Ivy and Ryan had no objections, their silence indicating their agreement with the police officer's request.

"Where were you both last night, and what were you doing?" The police officer asked, looking back and forth between Ivy and Ryan. Though deep down, neither wanted to discuss their shameful matters, to escape this awkward situation, both reluctantly agreed to cooperate.

They each recounted their activities from the previous day, one after the other.

In the middle of the crowd, Luke and his group were mocking a weak boy, knocking his food tray to the ground.“Pick it up, or do you want me to help you lick it clean?” One of the guys sneered. The sound of cruel laughter echoed as the poor boy bent down to pick up the crumbs, his hands trembling in fear. His eyes were red, but he bit his lip tightly, trying not to let the tears fall. The crowd around them stood by, some with their arms crossed indifferently, some laughing mockingly, but no one spoke up to help.
