LUNA BEATRICE'S POV

"I wish there had been another way, is there no other way? I do not want to be a mother to this thing growing inside of me" I said in disgust

"Am I really supposed to have this thing?"I continued my lamentations.

"Wait it out a little more, she will be here soon and you will grow to love her like you do Seven" Leo said optimistic about the child.

"I have no love for this child and I don't want it" I repeated in disgust.

"You can't say that, love grows" he said looking sympathetically towards the huge belly before his eyes.

I feel immediately the sympathy is not for me but for the child in my belly.A twinge of jealousy hits me and my hatred for the child grows even more. He should be daunting over me. I should be first priority. Why was he sympathetic towards this curse? I thought to myself. 

"You know this child is a curse, what do you intend to do about it?" I asked looking Leo up and down.

"We will cross that bridge when we get there" Leo said, sounding a little annoyed by my adamant hate for this unborn soul.

"You know that loving this child will not kill you?" he asked me and I rolled my eyes right to the back of my head.

"You have a child, why do you want this one so badly?" I asked him, folding my arms over my chest.

"This baby is our baby just as Seven is our son" he said calmly as if trying to reason with me.

I heard nothing of it and the more he spoke, the more my anger escalated and my hate for the creature inside me blew out the roof but I wasn't going to be tied to something I didn't want. That was my final decision. I was standing by it.

"You have a son so why her" I asked him again trying to understand why he was so hell bent on keeping this child in the pack.

"We could have another baby after her, we are still young and capable" I continued. 

"Stop it!Stop, '' I said! , This baby is now part of this family and you better get used to having her around" he said in anger.

"You can not ask me to allow you to dispose of a person like trash. It will never happen under my watch" he spat in anger 

"Nooooooo! I screamed wishing I could just harm myself and she died but I remembered those dreadful words. She could never die from my hand or the hand of Deborah.

I was stuck with her and if I did not make a plan to get rid of her, she would be the end of me. My rage grew that I growled and felt my eyes begin go have tears in them. I wiped them with the palm of my hand and heavier out a sigh to calm myself down.

I had given Leo a son , why did he want this child? He had an heir ,someone to take over and rule the pack after him. Seven was the only child he needed and I was convinced.Leo wasn't supposed to love this baby. He was supposed to hate it as much as I did. Why was it different? I wondered as I watched Leo match out of the room.

He left the room in a state of disgust and anger. I did not care because I felt as strongly about this baby as he did. He felt love for it and I felt hate. I had failed to love it to an extent that I couldn't touch nor wash my own belly. When it moved I screamed in disgust because it put a stamp on it that was alive inside of me. I would sleep on my belly just to cause discomfort to it but it was more to me than to it.I didn't want to be comfortable, I hated it to a point where I starved just to starve it. I just had to try and kill it before it was born.

The pregnancy was a menace to me. I did not want this child. I hated that each day it grew inside of me and I had to wait it out. I had no choice but to keep this baby. Having it was by force and there was nothing I could do about it. 

I wanted nothing to do with it but what choice did I have but to have this child. Leo wanted this child alive and well. The annoying part was he knew what it would do to us but still he refused to listen to reason. 

I felt a sharp pain hit my waist and I knew it was time.I let out a scream of agony and pain.I screamed for help and the pack doctor was called.I was going to have the baby in my room. This comfort I deserved. I couldn't wait to get this thing out of me. 

No one could change the way I felt about this child.I had made up my mind that the moment it was born I would go and throw it in the forest to be devoured by wild animals but from where I was standing, doing that was going to be a fight.

I would not have a hybrid in the midst of wolves. A witch and a wolf , never. It had to go. The pack doctor helped me prepare for labor and it only took hours before I gave birth. It was like it wanted to stay inside me. It would crown and go right back in. I was in the most excruciating pain.

Finally she came out too quiet. For a moment when the doctor held her, I also held my breath waiting to be told that it was dead. She spanked it and no cry came and she spanked it again but nothing and I saw worry begin to creep on her face.

I was ready to rejoice and jump for joy when an unexpected scream left the little lungs in the arms of the doctor. My heart dropped to the bottom of my stomach. I was doomed. I thought, what to do next?

"It's a girl," said the doctor,in excitement  showing her to me. I turn the other cheek and not look at her.

 

" My Luna please hold her" she tried again to give her to me.

"Get that thing away from" I shouted

She stood there flabbergasted at my reaction. The cry of the baby filled the room and I was asked to feed her. I flat out refused and I refused to even look at her. 

The Alpha was called in to see the baby.He arrived so fast I could barely remember him being this quick.He held her in his arms and I could tell it was love at first sight. 

"Welcome to the world little one.Amanda, that's your name, little one but I will call you Mandy." he said in complete adoration. 

I sat back and looked.This thing was already taking over by being here a few minutes . A cry erupts from her mouth and he hands her down to me.

" What do you want me to do with it?" I asked, shocked by his action. 

"Feed her" he responded sounding annoyed

"That's not our baby to keep" I said with a blank expression and not moving to get her from him.

"This is our baby and she stays," he said in authority.

He looked at the doctor who looked inquisitively at us trying to piece two and two together and calmly asked her to excuse us and give us privacy. She bowed and exited the room as we continued with our argument.

 

"She is a hybrid and she can never be accepted into the pack, I will make sure of it." I spit angrily and in one attempt to change his decision.

"You will do no such thing, if you dare , you will rue the day you ever met me." he threatened, his eyes shining in golden flames of anger.

"She does not belong here" I adamantly pointed out.

I am not heard because he cradled his precious newly found love and left the room. I was annoyed and angry. I needed this child gone. The pack house was too small to accommodate the two of us.

"Get Dorcas to come to my room immediately" I heard Leo instruct someone outside my room.

I stood on my feet and made my way to the spot where I was to meet the witch Deborah. She was supposed to take the baby and drop her in the forest.I saw her waiting in anticipation. Her eyes dropped to my empty hands and she looked annoyed to have walked all the way for nothing.

" Where is the baby?" she asked quizzically.

"She is with the Alpha , we need another plan , clearly this  one has not worked." I pointed out.

"Why was I not informed before I came walking all the way?" she asks angrily.

"You are concerned about walking,instead of being concerned about dying" I asked her, chuckling at the irony of the whole matter.

"This is too far a walk for me, you should have at least found a way to tell me" she insisted on complaining

  

"It's not like you can not improvise means to go back" I said sarcastically.

She gave me a look of disgust for my uncalled for joke. I guess it left a bad taste in her mouth because she spit and rolled her eyes.The tongue click that followed sounded like someone snapped a bone.

"Deborah I was busy giving birth, I don't know how you expected me to miraculously communicate with you at the time" I said starting to get annoyed at her drama.

"Fine, do you have any brilliant ideas on how we will deal with this situation?" She asked me with an eyebrow raised.

  

"None, I have no ideas at this moment but the plan remains the same" I said, sounding even more confident in my decision.

"You know what's at stake" she said walking off without looking back.

 

"Flying would have saved you a lot of energy" I said under my breath.

She must have left her ears on that spot because she turned and gave me a deadly stare. Clicked her tongue and walked off.
