(Juliet’s POV)

It was as though I dropped a bomb shell on my parents when I told them that I already have a child over all the years I left. It came as a surprise to them. I decided to tell them because I was not in to hiding anything from anyone. They took it as an extremely great piece of news, asking me to bring Eric to them. I expected it when I told them anyways, so it didn’t faze me at all when I heard it from them.

Here, I was reading Eric a book to help him sleep. Enid Blyton’s The Faraway Tree was one of his favorite books ever. Even I couldn’t count how many times I’ve read each chapter to him to help him sleep.

“Eric?” I called, gently stoking his hair. He looked up to me upon my call, posing an inquisitive face.

“Yes, mom?” He responded, still staring directly at me.

“Would you like to meet my mom and dad?” I asked, and he quickly rose up. He put on the same surprised reaction he wore when I told him he would be meeting Jason. The only difference was that this time around,
