Chapter 82 – Panic Mode

Walking towards the SUV parked outside waiting for us, we both on our phones, going over the last-minute arrangements for tonight, Diego hangs up his call while I’m still chatting to Enzo about tonight. I realized Diego wasn’t next to me and I stop in my tracks and turn to see his face pale. Curious to what caused the sudden change in his demeanor, I walk back to him and mouth to him “put it on speaker”, so I can hear who’s on the line. He nods his head, takes the phone away from his ear and places the call on the speaker.

I hear her voice, sexy and sultry on the other side of the line and I know why Diego reacted like that. I chuckle softly at his behavior, who would have thought that such a petite woman could scare the big and deadly Diego. He gives me a dirty look when he hears me chuckle.
