William's POV I watched Amelia as she went through the report. I can't help but stare at her as she furrowed her brows and made every little reaction at the words she read in the report. Sometimes her lips would twitch. I would give that one word. Cute. I am not just noticing it but I have to say that the short brunette hair fits her perfectly. Her white porcelain skin is glowing too. Has Amelia always been so-- beautiful? Okay! Fine. I am going to admit it. You might say it is strange or too early but I think I like Amelia. A grin appeared on my face. _ONE WEEK LATER_ Oops, still on me. I pressed the button on the intercom on my desk and I smiled when I saw Amelia cutting it off and standing up from her seat. The door to my office opened in seconds as she walked in and in a minute, she was already by my desk. "You called for me", she said, looking down at me expectantly. "Yes, are you with the black card?", I asked and she sighed. "Yes" "Okay, go down to THE KITCHEN
Amelia's POV I am facing him, looking into his blue eyes as he stared into my brown ones. I am in a slight state of shock from his pull and guess what? We are standing dangerously too close to each other. I can feel the heat radiating from his body and his blue eyes are just so alluring. "Just use this one", William said calmly after a while and I quickly blinked and got out of his arms. "O- okay", I replied as I moved to the side, waiting for the damn elevator to reach the first floor. It finally stopped and the doors opened. I jumped out immediately and marched towards the exit of the company. William met up with me and we walked toward his car together. Scott got down from the car and bowed at William. He went to open the door for William after and William sighed before walking, I quickly followed after him. "You don't need to come with us, Scott. I will be driving, we will be fine", William said calmly. "Okay sir", Scott said with another bow. William got into the drive
SATURDAY MORNING William's POV I walked out of my office when I was done with the files of the morning. Amelia was typing away on the computer and I watched her for some time before knocking on her table. "Yes?", she asked as she stood up immediately. "I am going out of the office", I said and she nodded. "Okay Sir", she replied and I frowned. "You don't care about where I am going?", I asked and she furrowed her brows. "Do I need to?", she started and I quickly cut her off. "What if someone important comes looking for me?!", I shouted and she looked at me in surprise. "Wh- where would you tell them I went to?", I added, keeping my voice at its normal volume this time around. "Oh, where are you going to, sir?", she asked with a smile and I sighed as I pushed my hands into my pockets. "I am going to Mateo's office, take- take care of the office", I said, clearing my throat awkwardly and she smiled again as she talked. "Ah, okay sir", she replied and I nodded. "As you were,
William's POV I went back to my office and I looked at Amelia for a while before walking past her. She did not even notice me as I went into my office. A knock sounded on the door a few minutes and Scott entered. "What is it?", I asked when he stopped in front of my table. "I have checked out that case file from ten years ago, Sir", he said and I shifted on my seat. "And?", I asked impatiently and he dropped a black file in front of me. "The police closed up the case as a homicide one, the father had killed his family members because he was high on drugs", Scott explained as I opened and looked through the paperwork. "And then suicide. The father had also sliced through his wrist after he killed his family", Scott said and I frowned. This is wrong, what about those men that Amelia mentioned were in their house that day? Is the person really powerful to have manipulated the case together with the Police? "There was a daughter in that family though and she has been lost since
William's POV I put my phone down on the table before looking at Amelia. "How are you feeling?", I asked and she nodded positively. "Better", she replied before clearing her throat. "So, I guess it's a good thing mother called then", I replied and she nodded again before smiling. "I guess so" "I should go", Amelia said, standing up before straightening her skirt. "Oh, okay", I said, standing up as well. She chuckled weirdly before walking towards the door and I frowned as I watched her leave. I have to get that killer for Amelia. About an hour later, it was lunchtime and Amelia walked through the doors of my office yet again. She stood in front of me and I looked up at her. Her face is back to normal and I noticed that she has retouched her makeup a little. "You have a lunch meeting with Mr. Fernando from Country V", Amelia said in her normal cold but alluring voice, and I sighed before standing up. "Very well, you should go with me. You don't like eating in the company
SATURDAY AFTERNOON Amelia's POV We returned to the office silently and I took my seat back behind my desk. I turned on the computer and my mind wandered to what William said in the car. What could he possibly mean by me being special from the other workers? He even said he cares a lot more about me than the others. I looked at him through the glass window beside his door and my lips slanted a bit. I can't seem to understand what he meant. Should I have just asked him what he meant instead of looking away? ... It was finally closing hours and William walked out before I could even go inside his office to tell him. "Let's go home, Amelia", he said with a smile and I quickly looked around. "What if someone had heard you?", I said in a hushed tone and he smiled again. At least, the tension between the two of us is gone. "Come on", he said as he started walking away and I rushed after him. We took the private elevator to the underground garage. Scott was waiting there already
Amelia's POV I carried on with watching the movie and a few minutes later, something dropped on my shoulder. I looked at my shoulder just to see William's head there and his words followed "Let me stay like this for a while, I am really tired", he said and I gulped. It does not matter if his head is on my shoulder, right? It does not even mean anything! Right? I turned back to watch the movie but it was just playing in front of me, I could not make a thing out of it. I can feel the rapid beating of my heart in my throat. It feels like it is beating against the inner layer of my neck. I want to turn my head, just to look at him but I still don't want to. I turned my head slowly and when I saw his face, a sigh of relief escaped my lips. His eyelashes are short and perfect? And his nose is straight and high in the air, it has a pointed tip too. I looked down at his thin lips that is just beautifully closed now. His jaw is just so chiseled and it fits his characteristics perfectly.
Amelia's POV A few days later... William walked out of his office and stood in front of me. It is just an hour to closing hours, so I am surprised he came out of his office. "Are you going somewhere?", I asked as I stood up from my seat to show him the 'respect' that he deserves. "Yes", he said shortly and I nodded before I remembered the events from a few days ago. "Where are you going to?", I asked quickly and he smiled immediately. "Get ready, we are going out", he replied and I opened my mouth to say something but I was still confused. If I am going with him to a place, then why is he smiling? And there's no meeting on his schedule for this evening, I am quite confused. "Where are we going to?", I asked slowly and he just kept on smiling. "You will know when we get there, come on now", he said and I smiled awkwardly. I don't even think I can call it a smile. "Oh", I said and he nodded. "Let's go then", he said again before walking forward. I switched off the computer
