I hate taking responsibilities!

 “Okay, so let the fun begin!” said Lily while spinning the bottle and everyone screamed.

“Wooahhhh!”

Right now, Elena was sitting opposite to Christopher, Liam opposite to Alice, Lily to Luke, Ira to Mateo.

The bottle pointed towards Alice first and Liam was the one sitting opposite to her. Everyone started screaming and clapping.

“I suggested the game, I did not know I will be the first victim” said Alice covering her face with embarrassment.

“Okay Alice. Truth or Dare?” asked Liam in a playful tone.

“As I am the first one, I will go with Truth. Please go easy on me” said Alice with a nervous smile.

“Okay, who do you like the most in our clan?” asked Liam in a curious tone.

After hearing the question, the tensed muscle on Alice’s face lightened up.

“This is the easiest question. You are so kind” Alice complimented Liam for his generosity.

“I know, right?” said Liam with a wink and Alice chuckled.

“I like Elena the most” said Alice with her sunshine smile.

In return, Elena gave her a flying kiss and Alice pretended to catch it.

“The betrayer! I thought we were bonding” said Lily in a fake heartbroken tone.

“Oops, sorry. After Elena, I like you the most in your clan” said Alice with the shy smile while scratching the back of her head.

“Alright, no hard feelings” said Lily in disheartened tone, she still in her heartbroken character.

“That’s the thing, even a simple question in this game can cause you with your friendship” said Mateo showing his disapproval for the game once again.

“What a cry baby! Shut up already, dude! I told you, nobody asked for your opinion” said Lily with an eye roll showing her disapproval for letting Mateo play with them.

“You are the one to blame if something bad happens today!” said Mateo pointing an accusing finger at her.

“Do you know anything except for pointing fingers at people? What an irritating bug!” said Lily in annoyance and turned towards everyone,

“Why are we playing with this upset fart again?” asked Lily casually but everyone burst into laughter.

“You guys started again? Give your sarcastic selves a rest. No more arguments for today” said Elena in disappointed tone.

“Fine” replied both of them in unison while giving each other looks.

 Mateo was the one who went ahead and spin the bottle again.

It stopped while pointing towards Ira who was sitting opposite to Mateo.

“Okay, Miss. Blossom. Truth or Dare?” asked Mateo in a plain tone.

“I will go with truth” said Ira elegantly.

‘This girl must be queen’s court lady in her last life. Look at her drama and fake delicate nature. She could have answer while keeping her face straight but no, she had to do that elegant creepy thing’ thought Lily while glaring at her.

From Ira, her eyes went to Luke and finally to Alice who was also giving Ira the same look

“Did you find your mate?” asked Mateo casually.

“Not yet” replied Ira with a shy smile.

‘Of course not! Otherwise you would have stopped your sl*tty tactics or maybe not, you are just born with it’ thought Alice with an eye roll.

“Okay” said Lily not showing much interest and started spinning the bottle again.

It stopped and the tip of the bottle was pointing towards Liam.

“My time to have some fun. So, Liam bro. Choose between Truth or Dare” said Alice in an excited tone and everyone started smiling and cheering while looking at her excitement.

“Ah, Truth maybe” said Liam, he was still contemplating between truth or dare as her dare might bring chaos.

“Okay, who is your favorite person in your own pack?” asked Alice in a curious tone.

“One hundred percent, my best friend, Elena. She has always stayed by my side. She is my life-line. I can’t choose anyone except for her” said Liam in a cheerful tone and Elena smiled at him.

Luke rolled his eyes at Liam’s answer and nobody except for Lily noticed it.

“Okay, cheesy people of the pack. Let’s move on, before I puke on your face” said Lily with an Ew face while spinning the bottle.

“My second favorite is always you, Lily. But you are like a brother to me” said Liam with a cheeky grin.

“Don’t you dare do this dirty talk with me. I will actually puke this time. Eww!” said Lily sticking her tongue out.

“Looks like Elena is everyone’s favorite no matter what pack it is” said Ira smiling and Elena smiled back without replying.

This time, the bottle pointed towards Lily itself.

“Truth or Dare, Lily?” asked Luke casually, who was sitting opposite to her.

“Truth. I am scared the dare given by you will be terrifying” said Lily with a little shiver and Luke smiled gently.

“Okay. What do you think, who will Elena choose as her future beta between you and Liam?” asked Luke in utter curiosity.

‘Why this guy wants to ruin my friendship?’ thought Elena angrily.

“I also had this question for years. Only you and Liam are in the race. I wonder who will be the next beta of our pack” said Mateo in a muddled tone, the one who is always interested in pack politics.

Being the understanding best friend Lily is, she gave an answer to not only satisfy the guys and cure their curiosity but also removed the burden of the tough decision from Elena’s shoulder.

“I hope she chooses Liam. I only like showing my skills in the war. I will fight with her no matter what. But as everyone already know, I hate taking responsibilities!” said Lily without showing a hint of disappointment on her face.

Elena held her hand and smiled at Lily. She knew Lily gave up her position just for their friendship. For the three of them, their friendship comes first.

Lily knew Liam is more powerful than her. In future, they will make them compete for the position of Beta. Liam will never agree to harm Lily and eventually give up the position himself. Before anything like that happens, Lily gave up.

“No worries. I will gladly take all the responsibilities and always be present at both of your side” said Liam smiling at his two chaotic best friends while the trio held each other’s hand.

“Don’t worry, Elena. I promise you, I will share your burden and help you with everything” said Liam sincerely and Elena nodded. She trusted each word he said. She trust him with all her heart.

“Anyways, she needs it” said Luke with a scoff.

“What do you mean?” asked Lily while raising her eyebrow.

“She has not changed yet, she needs time to practice and control her wolf. Someone has to take the responsibilities for her. You can’t put burden of everything on a late bloomer” said Luke in a mocking tone.

“What the hell!”
