A Threat

Melody on hearing the scream, stopped on her track and returned to the rest room.

" Stay out of my business, or else I'll kill you!" Mr Donatus said and Melody gasped and covered her mouth.

" Please let me...... Let me go." Selina stuttered, struggling to free herself.

" I am a beast and I won't take it lightly if you keep poking your nose into my business." He said still strangling her.

" Let me..... Argh! So...m.... Somebo... Somebody help!" Selina stuttered and Melody left where she's standing, and hurried out.

She bumped unto someone immediately and fell on the floor.

" Melody what's wrong? Why are you running? And where's your friend Selina?" Juliet asked and touched her slightly.

" There..... There...!" Said Melody panting heavily, while pointing her finger at the restroom direction.

" He.... He.... He want to kill her! He wants to kill her." She added, trying to catched her breath.

" Want to kill who? Where? How?" Juliet rushed out and Melody quickly stood up and grabbed her hand. Then dragged her to the rest room.

" How is it your business that I was talking to him? Is that what your parents thought you?" Mr Donatus asked.

" No please...... Let me go!" Selina said in tears.

" Listen to me! if you tell anyone what you saw earlier, I will kill you. Open your eyes and look at my face." He said and shook her roughly.

Selina screamed and bulged out her eyes in fear.

" If you tell anyone about this, I will kill you." He said and removed his hand from her neck instantly; and she fell on the floor and coughed so hard that she saw stars.

The flung open and Juliet walked in. She's amazed to see Selina on the floor, coughing that bad.

" What did you do to my daughter? What's wrong with her?" She asked staring directly at his face, but he couldn't answer.

" What did you do to her?" She screamed and grabbed his shirt.

"What do you think I did to her? Don't provoke me Juliet. Let go of my shirt!" Donatus said and pushed off her hands from his shirt.

" Mo....mo.... mother! Kpuhuur! Kpuhuur! Kpuhuur!" Selina muttered and coughed again.

" If anything happens to my daughter, you'll pay for it." Juliet threatened and quickly left Donatus and hurried to Selina. Donatus left the room instantly without looking back.

" Selina can you hear me? Selina! Selina!" She called, but the was unable to reply cause of the cough.

She kept beating her chest while coughing, and uncontrollable saliva came out from her mouth.

Her eyes had turned red and her body begin to heat tremendously.

" Oh no! Somebody help! Hold on baby girl, let me get someone so that we can rush you to the hospital." Juliet said and rushed to the door.

" Mother!" Selina called and stretched out her hand.

Juliet rushed back to her and grabbed her hand.

" Mother that..... That man is.... Is evil." She stuttered and continued coughing.

" I know, but you have to do me a favor. Just wait here while I get someone that will carry you. We have to go to the hospital as soon as possible." Juliet said.

" What about an ambulance ma'am. There's an ambulance outside." Melody said as she entered the room.

" Yes! That's what I'm saying. I want to go and inform them, so that they can come and take her. You stay here with her, I'll be right back." Juliet said.

" Okay ma'am." Melody replied and Juliet rushed out of the room immediately.

" Selina! Selina!" Melody called and she turned to her with her eyes out of it socket; still coughing.

" My.... My heart is burning." She managed to her.

" What did he do to you?" Melody asked.

" He threa..... threatened to... To kill me, if I.... I tell anyone." Selina replied with a stutter and continued coughing.

" This man is heartless! What exactly did you do to him? I thought you guys were in good terms?" Melody said and she nodded.

" I don't know I.... I don't know where this hate sprang from? I have never offend him in anyway." She replied.

" Then why did he do this to you? Or is it because of the mask man?" Melody asked.

" I don't know, I....." Selina said and coughed again. Tears slipped out from her eyes instantly and Melody assisted her in wiping it off.

" Stop crying okay? You'll be fine soon." She said and Selina nodded and burst into more tears.

" It's okay! You have to be careful with him. He's a beast like he said." Melody said and patted her back.

" I feel like dying. I feel weak all of a sudden. I can't even move, I'm......." She paused and tried to breathe.

At the same time, the door open and Juliet walked in with three men behind her. Melody quickly got up and the men carried Selina into the carrier and left the restroom.

The people outside where surprise to see Juliet in tears, and the inquire about the issue; but she ignored them and followed the ambulance to the hospital.

On arrival, the young lady was admitted successfully, and the doctor swung into action immediately.
