Nightmares
During the time that Eon was loitering in the lobby of her hotel, Lina was sweating on her bed. After Vanessa left she perused on the IDs under her new name Lina Baptiste and it still felt surreal. She has so many questions that she even contemplated calling Briare at the private number that he gave her but she’s scared.
She’s scared of people that could make a new identity in just a flick of a finger. She was glad that she got a new identity that she could use to hide from those who were following her. She’s grateful to Briare at the same time she feared him. She has no idea who he truly is and how influential he is. But her biggest question was, why was he helping her? Now with what Briare did to her, she no longer believes that meeting him at Luna was purely coincidental.

Lina woke up screaming with a hoarse voice. It was her third time waking up and she made sure to get up from the bed this time by slapping her face. She didn’t want to fall back asleep. She would die if she had to go through that nightmare again.When the pain of her palm hitting her cheek registered in her groggy brain, she got up from the bed and headed to the bathroom. With her knees shaking, she hurried under the shower and opened the shower full blast with freezing water. She shivered and screamed the moment the cold water hit her skin. Lina was ecstatic when she returned to her hotel room late at night. The owner of the house was an old charming woman. She’s a retired professor and lives alone while her son lives in London. “Why don’t you go and pick her up?” Larissa disrupted Eon’s brooding over whether he should go and apologize to Lina and invite her to attend the private event here in Luna. The party didn’t actually stop since it started Saturday morning. The whole club was closed and only VIP members were allowed entrance. The man finally noticed that she wasn’t interested in her and saw another girl to his liking that he left Lina alone. “Sorry,” Eon whispered next to her ear, which sent shivers to Lina’s skin. Lina tried to pull her hands away but she had no strength for whatever it was that the damn woman jabbed her arm. She was panting and groaning as she panicked, fighting the drowsiness she was feeling. ‘I can’t fall asleep!’ She screamed in her head. The thought of the nightmare if she falls asleep keeps her fighting the sleepiness she was feeling. She didn’t see the old woman who stuck a needle in her arm. The two men who took her to the van didn’t talk to her. They just tied her hands together in her lap then shoved her inside the van like she was a piece of garbage. Then the two of them talked quietly in a language that she doesn’t know. She strained her ears to listen to catch any words that would give her a hint of what was happening but they already went inside the van, the one who gave orders took the wheel. Lina in her horror lost consciousness. That she was already screaming and asking for help even when she knew no one would help her for it was all nothing but a dream. She already knew what's going to happen even before she found herself in the now familiar swamp. In her dreams, she was submerged in the cold, murky water up to her waist.
