18 - Pack's dilemma

At a long table, the full-blooded alpha family of the West Wood Pack gathered along with the reputable elders who joined the meeting. Five guards stood alongside the beta of each member. The air was thick with tension as the members all sat in silence, seemingly not wanting to break the silence.

It was like that until the door opened and a guard outside announced, “Prime Luna Martha has arrived.”

The five silent people sitting stood up.

A woman entered, her hair white as snow and her eyes carrying wisdom and endurance, both brought by age and experience. Her pheromones strongly depicted the bearing of a full-blooded alpha whose whole life circled around her own pack.

“Everyone, sit,” she instructed with a gentle but authoritative voice.

Everyone sat down and she glanced at the man at the end of the table. “Alpha, let’s begin.”

Alpha Jake, the father of four alpha princes, Zeke, Lorenzo, Felix, and Kael. He sat with an air of dominance, silent as he thought hard before he began t
