Chapter 72 The Godfather's Declaration

"It's Dr. Amelia Stepanov, Director" the resident doctor replies while trying to wake Lia by gently tapping her face. She is not worried about the director's anger but about the incoming entourage. They watched the commotion earlier and they were sure nothing had hurt Amelia Wright. They would know.

The three nurses are also trying to wake her. With cotton balls, one of them made her inhale ammonia. But to no avail. She remains asleep.

"Is there something on the water?" one of them whispers.

"I don't think so, someone had a drink before her. It's not the water"

"She went to the laboratory for a test early this morning, what test was it?" the resident asks.

"I will get it. I will send the others here" one of the nurses grimly whispers before rushing to the door.

Left without a hint of what made Amelia lose consciousness, the three shares an anxious gaze before heaving a sigh. They can do nothing at the moment but wait for the result and face the Godfather.
