Anna's P. O. V

I was in my office, taking care of office-related issues, when a guy walked in. He was the person I hired to help me investigate Morris.

I wasn't backing down in this fight—I cared too much for Amira to simply let a dangerous man be her husband.

"Ma'am, I've done my research. He is indeed a very secretive person," the guy said. "Whenever it seems I've gotten a lead about him, I find myself at a crossroads," he continued.

I believed him. I knew Morris would have figured out by now that I was watching him. I thanked the guy as he left my office.

I picked up my phone and called Amira, but she didn't answer. The phone kept on ringing without a response. This made me wonder what Morris had done to her.

I wanted to go to her house when I realized that I didn't even know where she lived. Where could Morris be keeping her? I wasn't even sure if she was in this country.
