(RORY’S POV)

When I woke, the first thing I registered was the soft, rumpled linen against my cheek, and the pleasant, unfamiliar weight of an arm draped across my waist.

A slow, contented sigh escaped me. My mind was already replaying the highlights of the night before, like a favorite film on loop. It wasn’t a single memory, but a collection of memories. Every flashback was a wave of pure, unfiltered feeling, crashing through me and leaving me breathless all over again.

A silly, unstoppable smile tugged at the corner of my lips, and I bit down on my lower lip to stop it, but it was only a failed effort.
