Chapter Forty-four

While I lay in bed with a heavy burden on my chest and my entire body and mind, still feeling a bit of hangover from last night, I hear a knock on the door and I try getting out of bed but I am too fainéant to move my muscles. I give up midway when I figured the door wasn't locked, " it's open!" I manage to say out loud. The door slowly opens and Sam walks in looking all fuddled and grotesque as she staggers with her right hand placed on her forehead and rasping in pain, which by the look of things is as a result of her drowning pain with alcohol last night. " Hey! Are you up yet?" She squints her eyelids as she stares at me. 

" Yeah, I'm up! Kinda down with a splitting headache"

" You think you have a migraine? Mine is a double migraine with a hint of color blindness, I think I'm sweating Tequila right now, as it is I can barely see your face! She sluggishly coiled in bed with me. I need a power nap." Throwing the duvet cover over her body she heaves a sigh.
