MasukChapter 48
Jace's POV
"Why?" She demanded.
"Because I'm saying."
"So what?"
"I'm your husband, Jenna. When I say no, you should listen." She stared at me for a second before she laughed mockingly.
"Because you're the husband, I must listen to you. What about me? I'm your wife. Have you listened to me?" She cocked an eyebrow.
"This is different. Chris is—"
"What is making you so afraid? And for what?" She interrupted me with the same words I told her a while ago, confounding me.
"You've got nothing to worry about. When I said I belong to you, I only belong to you. I'm yours and no one can snatch me from you." She tossed more of my words back to me, her lips arching upward in a sardonic smirk.
I was tongue tied. What I felt right now was nothing compared to normal rage. It was manic rage.
Those words sounded humiliating. As though she was only showing me what it felt like to her. Then she exited the room without another word.
I didn't go after her. I was too disappointed and enraged. Our son was asleep. She didn't even take one glance at him before leaving.
Did she go because she wants to annoy me? Or because she still feels something for him? That man literally threw her out of his pack in a weak state. She had just given birth and needed rest. But he discarded her in the woods for the rogues to rip into her like juicy meat.
'The second question is ridiculous, Jace, and you know it.' Denis cautioned me.
Just as I opened my mouth to argue, the sound of a convoy of cars hit my ears. I walked over to the window and noticed five jeeps, loaded with five soldiers each, driving out of the gates. Jenna was in the last jeep.
She probably felt my eyes on her and whirled her neck around. Our eyes met. My stomach tightened in rage. I was the first to look away. Turning around, I heaved loudly as I peered at my son.
What you did right now isn't justified, Jenna. You stubbornly left to help that mother fůcker's pack— That mother fůcker who caused you intensely harrowing pain.
I've always excused your mistakes. Always overlooked situations where I felt like you were humiliating me. Always let your rebellion slide.
I won't let this one slide.

Jenna's POV
Three days later,
"Thanks so much, Luna. I mean, Luna Queen. If you hadn't come today, we would've all been dead." Beta Cleo bowed in gratitude.
"It's okay. As your Luna Queen it's my duty." I said flatly before turning to Pluto. "Is our jeep ready?"
"Yes, Luna." He stepped aside to show the jeep.
All my soldiers had taken their seat in the other jeeps. Nodding, I began to turn and leave.
"Luna Jenna," Cleo called out
"Yes?"
"I... Er, I was... I..." I saw him fidgeting. "I don't have all day, Beta Cleo. My son is only eight months old. I have to be there before midnight."
His eyes came up. They were hazy with guilt. Licking his lips, he shrank his shoulders as he said, "I want to apologize, Luna Jenna.... For what we did eight months ago to you. Despite that, you came here to save her."
"I also want to apologize, Luna Jenna." Another voice came from behind him.
Gamma Neville came limping towards us. His forehead was bandaged and his left arm was in a cast.
"I am ashamed of what I did to you eight months ago. I was very disrespectful. Though I don't deserve any mercy, I would like to ask for your forgiveness." He went on his knees in front of me. "Alpha King had forsaken our pack for our disrespectfulness, but you still came for us. You are really a goddess, Luna. Please forgive me... Forgive our entire pack for not treating you right."
A tight smile sneaked across my face, "I will never forget that day, Gamma Neville. The threat you posed to me and my son that day is etched into my mind. There will be no forgiveness for you. But that doesn't mean the innocent pack members had to suffer."
"You are still forsaken. It's up to the Alpha King whether he wants to protect your pack or not. But I assure you no other pack will try to attack the Power Wolf Pack again. I've also spoken with Alpha Asher, he will not pose any threat to you guys again in the future. You guys are safe."
"Thanks, Luna. I know we don't deserve this, but you still helped. Thanks a lot."
I sat in my jeep without replying to him. The beta and gamma watched my convoy drive out of their territory. I felt a sense of freedom as we drove out.
This pack used to be my home once. Its Alpha may have been brutal to me, this pack gave me good memories. Hence, for the sake of those memories I came to help.
The ride was silent. We came to the airport and loaded the jeeps in our private plane. Soon we were in the air amidst the clouds.
When I think about it, I feel like I might have crossed the line. I could've sent Pluto with a team to help the Power Wolf Pack. But no, I came myself. I wanted to make Jace feel what it feels like when you claim to love your partner, but still do things that hurt them.
I hope he learned his lesson, though I feel like I'm about to enter World War 3.
Jace won't let it slide.
'So what if he doesn't, ha! It's not like we did anything wrong. We wanted to show Chris that his pack is dependent on us for its survival. This was our final blow to him. The shame of this moment will always bite him in the äss.' I chuckled in agreement at Gianna's explanation.
Then I closed my eyes to catch some sleep.

At home,
"Mamma!!!"
When I stepped inside my home, Jared came crawling to me like a racehorse.
His face was sparkling and those eyes somehow shimmered with tears too.
"Did my darling miss me? Oh baby, sorry. Mamma has duties to fulfill." I picked him and kissed his cheek.
He moved his hands around like a propeller and tried to hit me. I guess he was showing his anger. I just hugged him tight and kissed him again. This made him settle down, but he remained clinging to my chest.
"You're back, Jenna. Welcome home. We all missed you." Mom opened her arms to hug me.
As I accepted her hug, I cast a gaze around, "You sure everyone missed me. It feels like only you and Jared did."
"No, he missed you too. He's been practicing like a maniac since you left." Mom whispered. "He's very mad, Jenna."
I felt a tug in my chest. This was my first time going against my husband. I might have done it in the heat of the moment, but now I was nervous.

Chapter 58 Jace's POV We were silent for a long time. Neither of us spoke. Suddenly Jenna lifted her face and eyes me innocently."What?" I chuckled. She nodded in no, "You burned Liza alive."My face stilled. I pulled her closer and joined our foreheads, "I had to. She was the bane of our family."I kissed her."Also," I added. "She made me doubt my wife's intentions. I had to punish her."At that, she hugged me tighter and rested her face on my shoulder. She was sitting straddling my waist while I held her like my toddler baby.My back had healed. Hence, I was able to sit this way.The doctors had been worried because the wound wasn't healing in my state of unconsciousness. That's the reason why they refused to give any answer. But the second I woke up, the wound healed, and all the residue of wolfsbane and silver was eliminated by my immune system."What happened to Chris and that lady?" I suddenly asked as I remembered those two."Both dead. And that lady was Doctor Henry's daug
Chapter 57Jenna's POV 'Thanks, bro. Head towards the Rogues' territory with your team. I'll meet you there.''Roger that!''Okay.'We broke the link. I sucked a sharp breath as I focused on the road ahead. If I drive at high speed, I'll get there in twenty minutes.Jenna, hold on for a while, love. Your husband is coming to get you.(Twenty minutes later)"Jace, finally you're here." Oakley came running towards my car as I applied brakes."Did you find her location?" I was not even fully out of the car."Yes, and already stationed our soldiers around the area." Oakley said, sending a wave of relief through me."Thank, goddess.""Don't worry, Jace. The situation is already in our control." Oakley flashed a shark grin and my eyebrows cocked in confusion. "Chris's soldiers look novice. They are not attentive at all, let alone alert.""I think he brought untrained wolves here. And I must add that his Beta and Gamma are not here either."I acknowledged with a nod, "He's probably doing it
Chapter 56Jenna's POV Jace has never touched her before. He hadn't done it this time either. It's that bìtch who always found ways to go near him.'There's no point in giving yourself false hope, Jenna. Jace isn't the man we thought he was. Accept it.' Gianna said.A feeling of disappointment rose over me. No! My wolf is not right here. She's hurt from Jace's wolf's words, and rest is the impact of wolfsbane.Jace loves us.'You really think that? Then tell me, why didn't he come after us when we left?'he He might have a reason.'No,' Gianna grunted weakly. 'It's because he was bewitched by his mistress's beauty and he chose her instead.'That's not true. I was breathless in anger. Gianna's words struck a chord that it shouldn't have.'I'll prove it to you that Jace still only loves us.'Having that said, I lowered my guard. I had blocked out everyone and their feelings to avoid getting caught. However, as I lowered my guard, I could feel my family's emotions— Jace's first. He was
Chapter 55Jenna's POVI regained my senses at the feeling of stabbing spasms stretching throughout my body. My eyelids were heavy and so I couldn't drag them open. But my other senses were working well.I could hear and smell and feel my surroundings. The air was crackling with the chirping of thousands of crickets, meaning that I was most likely in a forest area; or where there were a lot of trees.I dragged in a deep breath to catch scents, and realized that wood was burning somewhere. Then I heard the noise of fire crackling. A bonfire. I subtly rubbed my hand on the ground and sensed the coarse texture. Soil. All the elements directed to one point, I was in a forest. My eyes felt better now. I was about to open them when, "Hadn't she woken up yet?" A familiar voice asked."No, Alpha Chris. After she turned into her human form while fainting, she's been just like that." Someone said,It wasn't Cleo's voice. Hmm. Perhaps Chris flew all the way to Silent Hills city with a small team
Chapter 54Jace's POV "Let this be a lesson to all those who think they can fool the Alpha King just because I trust them." I announced as I paced around with a flaming torch in my hand. Behind me a pyre was built in the middle of the city for people to watch. On it Liza was tied to a pole. She was drenched with petrol and shaking. Her eyes were red. She begged me to let her go, that she was honestly apologetic. That she acknowledged her blunder and would go away. "My trust has never been a weakness. My willingness to believe in those who stand beside me does not make me blind, nor does my kindness make me a fool. I give people my trust because I choose to see the good in them. Because I consider them my previous ones. But the moment that trust is betrayed, do not mistake my silence for ignorance. And don't ever think that you can outsmart me."I came to a halt. The flames were crackling beside my face. It was night now, the sky was dark with no stars. There were light poles around
