CHAPTER IX

I woke up to an empty bed. Kielton wasn't beside me anymore, his side of the bed was now cold and void of warmth.

My eyes started to sting with tears. Did he leave me?

Not bothering to change out of my pajamas, I rushed out.

"Killy?" I whimpered.

Seeing the living room and kitchen empty, tears cascaded down my face.

"Kielton?" Going back upstairs, I checked the bathroom, library, and the balcony, but still, no sign of him.

By now, I was full on sobbing.

Then I heard groans from my right.
